This is a beautiful hotel and probably the best all round, on the island. This is the second time we have stayed here. The first visit we stayed in a Rock Classic which happened to be the room one gains entrance to through the reception. Great view but the noise form the room above penetrated into our room and disturbed our peace. Added to that, we become tired of walking up and down the "Rock" to enjoy the place. I think Rock Classics are best suited for honeymooners. This time we decided to stay in a Beach Room which is part of a number of accommodations at beach level. They are in a beautiful lawn setting hard on the beach and there are only 8 of these types of rooms 4 in each block with 2 being upstairs and 2 below. Trouble is they are as noisy as the Rock Classic's.
One can easily hear between the walls and every other sound from people enjoying them selves both inside and outside on the lawn to them banging up the wooded stairs when coming back from a night out at 2.00 am.
There has just been no acoustic consideration given at all when these accommodations were being constructed. They are plain noisy rooms.
All the accommodations have great décor and every amenity you need. Sensibly they offer complimentary WiFi and you can just connect without going through those silly usernames and passwords you get is most hotels.
The food at both restaurants are at the top of the tree, the service is efficient and friendly from French and English speaking waiters.
Beach staff look after your needs instantly and allocate beach lounges of your choice for the duration of your stay. Food and drink service is available to your lounge on the beach and they inform you when the bar is about to close around 5.00 pm. It's all very civilised. No Riff Raff here!
They have that many categories of accommodation here is takes some understanding of just what you get for the money you pay. They do have a map but to not put it on the website which would be a great help.
Apart from the noisy rooms, this place is perfect in every respect.
