My wife and I were recommended to Manapany by friends who live in Tuscany. They have been to the hotel a few times and love it, perhaps in part because the resort is owned by an Italian family and it maintains a Mediterranean sensibility. We stayed just before high season, at the beginning of December, in a Beachfront Junior Suite at a very attractive rate.We had a lot of space, I guess over 600 square feet, terra-cotta tiled floors, a king size four-poster bed, an LCD TV with a DVD and CD player. The bathroom was marble with Philippe Starck faucets and shower head. We thought it was really luxurious. Plus we had a very large private deck, built right on the sand with a spectacular ocean view. We were VIP'd (I guess because of our friends' connection) and it was so romantic sipping our Champagne at night just a few feet from the sea. We only had one dinner at Fellini , the hotel restaurant, that was very good- how unusual to have fresh pasta in Saint Barth's- overlooking the ocean.
I read the other reviews on this site and have to say that we really loved Manapany. In a way the resort reminded us of the way the Caribbean used to be- uncommercial and not trying hard to impress-
