“Le Christopher Charm”

We just returned from 8 days at the Christopher and were very impressed with the staff, the service, the pool, and the views. Everyone was very helpful with all of our requests, and made us feel that they would do anything they could to make our stay pleasurable. Breakfast is included and a great way to start every day without having to be reminded that St. Barth's is expensive. The food in general at Christpher is good, but expensive when compared to The HideAway, Open Your Heart, and the other fantastic local restaraunts that I highly recommend you take advantage of. It's hard to imagine a better pool setting (we're not beach people) than the Christopher. Views of the ocean and a group of local surfers from poolside added a bit of excitement to a quiet and serene atmosphere, when the sounds of nearby villa construction weren't heard in the background. They have wifi, TV with only three english-speaking channels, and are on the new shuttle line, a great way to get in and out of St. Jean and Gustavia if you are not on a tight time schedule. The rooms are nice, but in need of upgrades to the bathroom amenities. We appreciated a TripAdvisor tip to stay in an upper unit.....much better views and breezes. We will return again to Le Christopher another time.

My husband and I travel to St Barths about twice a year and always try new hotels. Not only were we pleasantly suprised on the location - the hotel itself - rooms - restaurant -and staff were just lovely. Next time we go back - no doubt this is where we'll be staying.

“Great Value, Super Staff.”

The Sofitel may not have the reputation of some of the other exclusive hotels on the island, but for the money is exceptional. The staff is incredibly attentive as you almost never wait and are very helpful in shuttling you into town or taking you the airport or ferry. The pool and views from the hotel are some of the best we saw on the island. The breakast in the morning which was included was excellent and you can't believe the view. The only issues we had was the rooms tend to have a lot of misquitos and you need to drive out of the hotel for food/drinks as besides the hotel there are no others within walking distance. As far as the misquitos, we were staying on the lower level, the second level may not be better. Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Just got back from 10 days at the Christopher. The hotel property is gorgeous, set at the bottom of a hill with sweeping views of the water and a heart-stopping sunset. I think breakfast is always included (was for us) and the food at the restaurant, Taino, was quite good. We ate there once for dinner and were quite pleased with our meals and service. Rum drinks, lunch by the pool, you really can't beat it. And the staff are extremely kind and really go out of their way to be helpful. We were held over because of a blizzard in the northeast and they could not have been more accommodating, even making all of the calls to the airlines to change our bookings. (The staff is so great that one nice young man even helped us hail the shuttle when he spotted us in Gustavia one late night -- he was off duty at the time and could have easily walked the other way). Aside from a great property and great staff, this is a good location from which to explore the island. You're a short hop to Grand Cul de Sac, Orient, St. Jean, and only about 10 minutes to Gustavia. Plus you're a short walk to Le Ti Saint Barth, one of the great nighttime hot spots where the patrons literally dance on the tables. In all, a great place to stay on one of the most beautiful places on earth.

“From Here to Infinity Pool”

Le Christopher Hotel

Back from a week at the St Christopher. Faultless service at the hotel and restaurants. Just far enough away from the crowds of St Jean and Gustavia to be tranquil quiet, relaxed but a maximum 20 minute drive from Gustavia. The upper floor rooms are best, and worth the extra, having a good size balcony / veranda overlooking the pool and sea. And what a pool ....the shimmering blue infinity pool, merges seamlessly with the sea beyond and up the horizon. The sunsets are spectacular. Last comment on restaurants, we strongly recommend visitors to go to La Langouste restaurant on Flammands beach. What food, what restaurant (thank you Annie and team, long may you continue)and at reasonable prices unlike some other places.
