We spent a week diving, and Saba is one of the top places in the Caribbean to dive. The reefs are in great condition and there is an abundance of diverse marine life. Saba Divers is a terrific shop because of the staff, and they are great about safety. Diving in Saba is more intermediate/advanced than other places. Michael and Caroline gave thorough dive briefings and were great divemasters underwater. They were great about letting us dive how we want until we reached our air/deco limit. They don't limit your dive time and allow you to experience what you want. Piesi, another divemaster, was in the water with us most of the time, and he's one of the most calm divers I've ever seen. The crew takes care of setting up, changing and cleaning all your gear. It's ready to go the next day you go out on the boat. The staff are really accommodating and considerate. My wife gets seasick, and they continuously checked in with her to see if she was ok. When the seas were rough, they would go to a protected area or back to the harbor. And they're fun people to talk to during surface intervals. There are also less people than the other dive shop, so it feels like a much more personalized experience. They were really fantastic.
Saba is a beautiful and interesting place with not a lot of people...and no beach. It should be a place to visit on every divers list. Diving is amazing and the island is really safe.
