The Cottage Club is a very good choice for anyone who wants to stay in or around Windwardside, which I think is the nicest part of the Island. That's saying a lot. There's no place in Saba that isn't absolutely beautiful, other than the Fort Bay Harbor facility, as you'll see. We were in Cottage 2, which has the best balcony view that we've ever had from any hotel anywhere, and we usually pick hotel rooms for their views. Cottage 1 has the same view. The others are somewhat blocked. Cottages 3 and 6 are the next-best in this regard. The kitchen is very complete. Lots of counter space, full four burner electric stove with oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and small, but adequate, refrigerator. Odd things that were not provided - no salt & pepper, no broom, no iron, no hair dryer. The clock/radio/ipod dock is very small and cheap. If you want music, bring your own. The alarm clock was a bit hard to figure out, and didn't go off twice, even after we thought we'd figured it out. Comfortable king size bed. No AC, but you don't need it. I doubt if AC is common anywhere in Saba. The cross breeze is exceptional. Easy walking distance into town. Nothing is more than two or three minutes away, at an easy pace. Of the two grocery stores, the Big Rock Market has a far greater selection, but isn't necessarily cheaper. Easy access to the Trail Shed and to several of the good hiking trails. The pool setting is idyllic, and has the same breathtaking view as our cottage. We spent a lot more time at the pool than we usually do. It's very nice. The water was a bit cold, but it's been overcast and windy. It's probably warmer most of the time. The entire property is very clean and well maintained. Because this is Saba, we felt very comfortable leaving valuables in the room every day, with the windows wide open. They do have a safe in the office, but we never felt the need to use it. Sabans are the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet.
