Coming to Montserrat I didn't know what to expect. The weather and environment is unpredictable and I had been warned of ash fall from teh volcano. Upon arrival we rented a car and headed down the dirt road to our destination OldTown. When we reached the house if you can call it that my mind was blown... The house was huge the kind of place you want to bring all of your friends for a getaway. Most of the bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms, and attached not to the regualar groggy hallway you get in a hotel but directly onto huge patios with spectacular views. You are always free to breath in the ocean air as the heat means ther is no head for heavy doors or doors at all except on bedrooms & bathrooms. The patio has a view of the volcano, and the beach and beautiful sunsets. There is a full kitchen and bar as well as an outdoor breakfast nook, and shuffel board on the upper deck, and the walk to the ocean takes about 10 minutes.
There is black sand on one side of the island and white on the other, you can go to a calm beach or very wavy one. As well each time we went to the beach we had the whole beach to ourselves. This would be the perfect place to honeymood, or to bring all your friends.
I will submit more pictures later
