“Great view”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Thats indeed the only thing what is great about this hotel. If you arrive later in the evening after dark, it's very hard to find, no sign! Once you are there you get a splended view from he balcony. The bathroom wasn't very clean, simple standard, no soap, only one towel and the bath tube didn't invite you to a bath. We had the breakfast included but that was very poor, coffee tea or chocolate to make yourself, a french long batong...juice. For that they would charge you 12 euros. Well it's ok to stay for one night and it's close to the boats going to Fort-de-France.

Cher Kaj S

We enjoyed a great 2 weeks at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and had all the amenities that match the price we paid. The location is great and very central to explore the island. On hot days it helps to have a rentalcar to drive down to beach and back again to the hotel. The village has a ferry service to Fort de France which is very convenient.

Room Tip: The top floor rooms have the best view.

Le Panoramic was an excellent value: very clean with a super friendly staff. It was not luxurious, but neither was it totally no-frills. We never had the sense that we were "roughing it" Our intention was to explore the island and to participate in a particular event on the island. Since we live in the Virgin Islands overlooking a lovely Caribbean beach, we were not interested in your typical beach resort, and just wanted somewhere clean, comfortable, friendly, and reasonably priced. Le Panoramic more than met our needs.

The rooms/balconies at Le Panoramic are fine. Good beds, great fridge, well equipped for self-caterers - but the restaurants in the immediate vicinity are...believe it or not...world-class. Just read the helpful list of "best addresses" that are placed in your room. For self-caterers, 8-à-Huit just down the hill has your basics (for a price), but the Carrefour in Rivière Salée (15 mins) has everything your heart desires, directly imported from France. Hey, after all...the only thing Martinique mass produces on its own is "cane" and bananas. But that rum...!!!...go to a distillery and find out for yourself!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2012

After a week with my parents, sister and her fiancé at a breathtaking private villa nearby, my sweetheart and I spent our second week on Martinique at the Panoramic (mid-April 2012). It was a wonderful surprise to arrive at this well-kept, gorgeously located aerie above Anse a L'Ane (Trois Ilets district). The view is to die for, "the bird" on our balcony kept us occupied feeding him bread from morning coffee through early-evening cocktail hour, and the location is a perfect starting point to explore the southern part of the island. Due to its elevated location, though, the hotel is a bit of a tough haul for older / physically challenged people or those without a car. The girls who manage the place are equisite, the refrigerator in the room is the envy of any competitor (just the right thing for self-caterers...although we ate out every evening), and the restaurants in the vicinity...if you do your homework...are as far as I'm concerned the best in the Caribbean. Martinique itself is not in the least "touristy". Finding a sunbed and umbrella on most of the beaches is like the proverbial needle in a haystack. But if you like to gain distance from big-city life, yet still like the culinary amenities, this island is for you. And the Panoramic is a nice little place to take a deep breath and say "Aaaah!".

Currently staying for a couple of weeks..very friendly and customer focused staff....great service from them. You can get staff to drive you to the supermarket down in the village (saves trudging back armed with bottles of red!). Or, arrange for them to meet you after a few hours of lying on the beach. Great swimming pool....hardly used by everyone but me.....hourly ferry to Forte de France. Bus connections to the south part of the island are okay; getting to the north is a challenge. Need to leave a lot of time for connections. Very reasonable rates for the standard of accommodation, especially if you stay longer than a week.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2012

We stayed in this hotel in January 2011 and again 7 nights in January 2012.

Location: the hotel is located in Trois Illets in a very quite position.
It is placed on a hill and from the terrace there's a wonderful sea view.
It's just 2 minutes from the closest beach and you can explore all best south beaches in 10-30 minutes by car depending on the beach that you chose.

Staff: kind and collaborative. They speak English fluently and in Martinique it's a real plus (everybody speaks only French)

Room: all the rooms have a terrace with sea view and many of them are also quiet. In the terrace there's a table with two chairs and you can have meals there or just relax yourself. The rooms are spacious and basic. There's a bathroom with bathtube that can work also as a shower, and there' s a big room with a twin bed separated from sofa area by a furniture that creates the idea of two environments. There's also a kitcinette with all that you can need to cook. Furniture and floors are old but you can find all the equipment that you need (drying rack included). Hairdryer is not provided. The staff clean the room every two days. The cleaning is not impeccable but in my experience in all Martinique budget hotel are similar. There's a free wifi that works in the reception and a bit slowly in the rooms (probably depends on room location).

Breakfast: there's no bar or restaurant but you can order your baguette every day (you should book it the day before) and pick it up in the morning at reception starting from 7:00 a.m. The first breakfast is offered (in your kitcinette there's milk, juice, coffee, baguette and jam for first breakfast)

Pool: there is a little pool with a wonderful sea view. I never experience the pool as in Martinique beaches are wonderful!

In conclusion I recommend this hotel both for the location, the quite area in which it is situated, and the staff that can speak English.

In Martinique hotels are very expensive so be ready to accept a lower overall level to the one you'd expect from the price.
