This restaurant is frequented by tourists, transplanted residents, and the warm and friendly Viequense. My wife and I have visited this restaurant on several occasions. The food is always great. We have been there by ourselves and with groups of friends. Never disappointed! We were even there one evening in a group of about 12, when Carlos apologized that his evening server hadn't shown and the service might be a bit slow. It was not, and he was handling both the bar and the entire dining room by himself on this busy night. If you're looking for a restaurant that serves excellent food in a friendly atmosphere, you will be pleased that you chose La Gran Parada.
I was shocked when I read a recent review which stated that the prices on the English-version menu were higher than the Spanish language menu. We have been there with Viequense friends, and received a mix of English and Spanish menus. Both menus have identical prices. I will note, however, that the reverse side of the Spanish menu has a couple of entrees listed in a different order. That may be where this discrepancy comes from.
