We loved our stay at Malecon House. It's centrally located in Esperanza, and the hotel is new, clean and a bit more upscale than the surrounding options. The owners are friendly and extremely helpful, but not intrusive in any way. It's lovely.

If you're looking for a spotless clean room, This is the place to go for a getaway stay. Innkeepers, Marsha and Robin are so helpfull you will feel at home. Rooms are quiet, comfortable and very botique style. I highlly recomend it.

We spent a couple of nights at this place and really enjoyed it. It's clean, modern, and RIGHT by the water... definitely worth the price. The pool is small, but really nice to relax in. Breakfast is small and basic (nothing cooked), but it's nice to have it there when you wake up. We would definitely stay there again if we returned to PR.

I made a short trip to Vieques and was determined not to have a rental car. This place was perfect and close to everything. Abe's snorkeling meets right next door; Island Adventure's bus stops 10 steps away. Restaurants and bars are in the vicinity but it wasn't noisy at all at night. My room was clean, tastefully appointed and everything brand spanking new. The hotel compound was well-kept with a small pool. I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay and Marsha & Robin's hospitality.

Brand new, very clean and modern. Beach view from patio. 4 foot deep lap pool is very nice for refreshing swim. Great proximity to boardwalk in Esperanza. Knowledgeable innkeepers for things to do and transportation advice. Highly recommended for the price. No TV but that was okay with us. They also allowed internet access using their netbook. This is not a resort Inn but simply a very elegant place to stay while exploring Vieques.

If you want a place to escape and relax, this is the place. Newly developed with modern and simple design. Clean, convenient and affordable. We found this place in our research prior to our trip and once we were there, we found a gem in the community. The owners offer a simple breakfast and courteous attention. You will not regret staying at the Maleco'n House. Keep in mind there is not a TV in the room and internet access is down in the lobby area, but you will sleep with comfort and enjoy the community. It is also centrally located and you can walk across the street to the promenade and enjoy the water. There are privately owned restaurants from 100 feet to a 2 block walk. There aren't any disturbing noises, the windows are new and each room have its own air conditioner and refrigerator. And if you have any problems, whether it be eating advice or places to visit they are helpful. We actually had difficulty getting a taxi service because of the recent opening of the W hotel nearby, so they offered to drive us to the airport if we couldn't get a ride. They also helped us find a taxi by making about 25 calls to different drivers that they were friendly with. So they can definitely be a realiable source for advice of any kind. They also have a clothing shop in the building that are quality and suited for the location, so if you want to purchase nice clothing there, you will find something for your needs. There is a comfortable sized swimming pool and plenty of room for your automobiles on their property, which other places make you park on the street line. So you can park with convenience and security. Each room is uniquely designed, some have balconies of either the lavish landscape or a waterfront view. They are also considerate to being " Green ", they have solar hot water heaters for the rooms and ceiling fans if you want to avoid air conditioning. If you desire extracurricular activities, they are conveniently located for pickups across the street. You want to try the Bio-Bay Tour, just check your Farmers Almanac and look for a moonless night, so the glowing is at its best. And finally, not if, but when we return, we'll definitely stay at the Maleco'n House again !
