“'' excelent verry nice ''”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

We felt this was overall the best beach in the island. It was great for kids as well. They have few cabanas as well.

“"Pata Prieta"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

My 2 girlfriends and I rented a car to hit the beaches. Pata Prieta (Secret Beach) is on the south-east side of the island. Drive along the long road east, and you'll take a right at the sign to go on the dirt road. Then it splits in 2. Park there or take the R side to the small parking area and entrance to the beach. don't follow the other paths... they don't go anywhere.

Since it was low season (beginning of Nov), there were only 2 couples there. It's in small bay, so the water is calm and you can just soak in the warm water forever. So quiet and peaceful. Bring your own umbrella. No shade, and if you are too close to the brush, there are flies. You can snorkel, but not much to see there.

“Quiet beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Beautiful cresent shaped beach. Not too much shade, so bring your own. Snorkeling is not good (not great anywhere on Vieques though).
