After a day of waves, sun, and sand at Luquillo beach, head over to the food kiosks for dinner at numero dos. Cafe La Parillia has fantastic food and delicious drinks at reasonable prices. Don't let the run down nature of some of the kiosks put you off. La Parillia is a great place to have a relaxed meal or drink while watching the waves crash against the beach.

Luquillo Beach is one of the most awesome beaches on Earth. I owned a scuba shop for 5 years and have seen tons of beaches. It's nice to see the locals believe in keeping it clean! The food at the small eatery along the beach is sooo cheap and so very good! The gorgeous water is contrasted by the terrific trees that seem manicured for a perfect picture. If you want some of the best public beach activities within PR, you'll not miss this outstanding opportunity!!!

What a beautiful beach! The contrast of the sea against El Yunque is very breathtaking, especially if you travel to El Yunque first and then marvel at the fact that you just traveled several kilometers up a mountain and descended to this pristine, tranquil beach.The sand is fine, but firm. There are very few rocks and shells on the bottom.The waters are fairly clear and very warm. There are very little waves, but be careful with children. The current is very deceiving. The slight "rocking" motion will subtly move you further away from shore. Not too much for a swimmer, but it could be upsetting and dangerous to an unsupervised child. Also remember it is not a "posita" so marine animals have access (as with most beaches).

All that considered, don't miss it!
