What a beautiful beach! The contrast of the sea against El Yunque is very breathtaking, especially if you travel to El Yunque first and then marvel at the fact that you just traveled several kilometers up a mountain and descended to this pristine, tranquil beach. The sand is fine, but firm. There are very few rocks and shells on the bottom. The waters are fairly clear and very warm. There are very little waves, but be careful with children. The current is very deceiving. The slight "rocking" motion will subtly move you further away from shore. Not too much for a swimmer, but it could be upsetting and dangerous to an unsupervised child. Also remember it is not a "posita" so marine animals have access (as with most beaches).
All that considered, don't miss it!
