Our guide, Walter, gave us an interesting discussion/tour of the site. It is amazing to consider that all of this was here for so many hundreds of years before being discovered in 1975. The small museum on the grounds contains many artifacts that have been uncovered at the site, and the stories of the different ball courts, ceremonial areas, and the area that was probably used as a calendar/sundial are very interesting. The $3 charge is well worth it to have such an in-depth history lesson on the Tainos and Igneri.
