“will be back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2012 via mobile

awesome food, a bit expensive but it's a seafood restaurant, how much would you spend at red lobster anyways? so it's reasonable considering the fish was as fresh as you can get without it being shipped frozen from Alaska. only 1 waiter, don't care it was empty and we are on vacation so we had the whole day and no hurry. will be back when I want to get away from the city tourist! my wife and I lovvveedd it!!!!

We enjoyed our dinner, and enjoyed the view even more. The service was nice and the food was good.

“Great food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2012

This restaurant is right next to Pito's. Heading west on Route 2 just a couple of miles out of town, you will see them shortly after the Quality Inn and the water park on the left. Stay ion the left lane, you will need to make a u turn at the next light. The restaurant is right on the water with a great sunset view. The parking lot was full by 3:00 on Sunday. We went Monday and had the place to ourselves, literally. We were the only ones there! The service was very good. of course you would expect that when you are the only customer. My wife and I both had the Lobster, Shrimp, and Scallops in garlic butter sause. It was excellent. The waiter was happy to substitute ectra scallops for the shrimp in mine. it came with a salad and side. We both had the fried sweet plantanes. they too were very good. Dinner for two with one glass of wine was $63.00 plut tip. Very reasonable, good value.

“Pleasantly surprised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2012

Have been visiting Ponce often over the past 10 years. Went here about 9 years ago and remembered it was just okay. Decided to try it again and we loved it so much we went went teice during our recent stay. View is beautiful and service was excellent. With all entrees they give you a fresh garden salad. I had the shrimp in creole sauce w/rice & beans, my wife had the shrimp in a lemon garlic sauce w/plantains. Shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. Salads and main courses were all well presented. Prices were very reasonable. As one of the previous reviewers mentioned there is a cat who walks around but doesn't bother you. It's not a stray as it does have a collar. Didn't bother us but I can understand some people may not like it. Will definitely return here on our next visit.

“Awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

The Monserrate Sea Port Restaurant on carr 2 has fast become one of my favorite restaurants to dine & relax with family & friends. We all sat right above the beautiful Caribbean - each dish was freshly parpared and made our guests mouths water.
The restaurant owner & servers take great pride in serving the BEST of Puerto Rico!
Every time I suggest this restaurant to the visitors at Villa Bonita they are pleasantly suprised & return again.
Get there right around 6 ish to see & enjoy the beautiful sunset-do not be in a rush, all is prepared fresh & they have an extensive menu(in both English/Spanish) & take the time to enjoy your vacation.
The Sea Port is always a high light when I visit Puerto Rico!
