OMG - Yes - there's great chinese and asian food in Puerto Rico - and it's hidden inside this hotel called Verdanza.
We stumbled on this place on a day when we actually didn't feel like just going anywhere after driving around a bit - so we parked and went upstairs to our room - then came back down and sat at this very lovely asian restaurant. Their drinks are poured heavy (not that we minded :-) ), there's a few tv screens since the owner is a sports fan and this way he gets business from the bar down the hall as well.
Let's see - we had sushi on 2 of our 3 visits - it was just awesome, the fried rice was just beautiful and not greasy at all. The roast duck was a masterpiece; the typical chinese dishes are made japanese style - which is to say - much lighter in color and spice (general tso's and sesame chicken) both have been slightly renamed but still were very good.
While in Puerto Rico - rice and beans, mofongo and all the usual fare is terrific - but if you want a change of pace of 2 - go here - you'll find yourself returning....
