Nice and clean. Great value. Loved the owners. Great people! I think one of the best things they do is pick you up and drop you off. That's a great "marketing" tool. Because getting to and from the place you are staying is such a hassle if it's your first time to the area.

The only problem we had when staying there is that the neighborhood is rather noisy with late night parties.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a week and it was awesome. The low rate allowed us to rent a car as well as to get a feel for the REAL San Juan and not just the resort area. Our hosts were very forthcoming with information and the supermarket close by allowed us to save money on going out to eat. All in all it was a very relaxing week that allowed us to explore the rainforest, the eastern coast and beyond.

The one thing that needs improvement is the bed. It was quite old and was just too firm for us. We could feel the springs in our backs and hips. If they had a bed pad, it would've been fine.

Everything else was great and I recommend this to any traveller on a budget who wants to get a feel for the REAL San Juan.

We stayed for 1 week in Puerto Rico and this was my first time visiting there. It was beautiful and the accomodations were lovely!! The rooms are clean, airy, spacious and well-equipped. We were a 3 minute walk away from the beach and enjoyed our own kitchen, bathroom, internet connection, nearby dining and quiet residential location. Christiane picked us up from the airport very late at night and gave us a tour of popular attractions. She also saved us an expensive taxi ride one evening and drove us to a restaurant that she had recommended to us. (Which was delicious by the way!) When we left, she drove us to the airport very early in the morning. After we left, I forgot an important item which she mailed to me two days later. She took care of all our needs before we arrived and continued to be just as sweet and wonderful after we had left. Her hospitality alone would be enough for me to recommend this place to anyone thinking of staying in Puerto Rico but the rooms were wonderful too and a definite bargain! As a student, I can honestly say the price was very fair and we got much more than we paid for. Having a full kitchen saved us lots of meal expenses and the area is peaceful and safe. This trip was absolutely perfect and the accomadations were top-notch. I give it my highest recommendation.

We just got back from our stay at Posada Colonial on the first floor front apartment. My husband, 2 teenage daughters & I just loved this cozy apartment. It does just have the basic necessities but we loved staying in the community versus the hotel district. It was great being able to walk to the beach and other local restaurants as stated. Christiane, the owner was sooo friendly. She does pick up and drop off to and from the airport at no extra fee. She gives a quick tour of what is around the apartment, such as restaurants, bakeries, quick stops, etc. I loved the fact that we rented a place from a local person and not a big hotel chain; the price is extremely reasonable and we saw more of the local community. Christiane is environmentally conscious and recycles which I think is really great. She recommended a couple of good restaurants: Bebos is great and also Da Luigi has a wonderful Italian menu with fresh seafood. She also took us to the rainforest for a nominal fee and the strip to eat some great local P.R. cuisine! We did not take the bus but the stop is close by. We found out that a lot of taxis drive by Da Luigi's, so it easy to get a cab there to go back and forth to Old San Juan. One could not ask for a better, more friendly person to rent from! Thank you Christiane for a great stay in P.R. We definitely recommend!!
