“Private tour of El Yunque Rainforest and Luquillo beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2010

We had a fantastic time with our guide, Carlos, on a private tour of El Yunque Rainforest and Luquillo beach. We were met at the pier of our cruise ship and we stopped at a Deli where Debbie kindly helped us food for a picnic lunch in the rainforest. While we drove we were given interesting information about Puerto Rico. Carlos took good care of us, showing us many interesting things before we even left the parking lot of the visitor's center! I learned more in 10 minutes with him than I had learned the entire tour when I went last time through the cruise ship. He had fascinating facts about the plants and their uses, he really knew his subject. Then we stopped at Luquillo beach to cool down and he helped us order snacks from a kiosk there. Finally he took us back to our hotel in old San Juan. The service we received from both Debbie and Carlos was top notch, Debbie even enquired into other things we were interested in during our stay like a baseball game and emailed us the next day to make sure we had enjoyed our tour and were enjoying our stay in San Juan.

“Best trip in Old San Juan”

Anyone that wants to learn about rum must do the Spirits Of San Juan Tour. I suggest that you ask for Debbie. She is the best. She makes it fun while not only tasting the various rums but also in helping as you mix your own drinks. She is also a wealth of knowledge as to other things to do on the island. The food that is served is also very good. There is nothing negative about this tour. You will not be disappointed. We were there on Aug. 10 2009.

“Spirits of PR Rum Tasting - THE best night of our trip!”

My husband and I did the Spirits of Puerto Rico rum and food tasting tour in May 2009 with Debbie as our guide. We were joined by two ladies at Baru restaurant in Old San Juan, which just happened to be a short walk from our hotel.

Normally we dislike tours - and although this is one tour where you're not actually going anywhere - we absolutely loved this one due to Debbie (THE BEST tour guide you could ask for) and the fantastic rum drinks and food we were served.

Over the course of the night we had twelve different kinds of rum (by itself as well as served in the TASTIEST mixed drinks) and a variety of local foods. Everything was delicious. The tour is structured so that you have enough water, food, and time in between drinks that you never feel as though you're drinking too much or can't handle it!

I would most certainly recommend this tour and I'd do it again!

“Great way to discover San Juan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2009

This was a great way to spend two hours on our first evening in San Juan. I had read in one of my tour books that there were no tours on Mon. or Weds. But when I called on Mon. to make a reservation for later in the week, I found that there was a tour that evening so I signed up. We met outside the Sheraton. Debbie, our guide, was very informative and told us a lot about San Juan that you just don't read in the tour books. It's a brisk walk that covered a lot of territory, but we were pleased that she ended it at our hotel (the whole group that night happened to be staying at the El Convento) instead of returning to the Sheraton where we would have had to make the long walk back to our hotel after the tour was over. We love to take walking tours on our vacations and this one was as good as any we've had. Also it was great to take it at night (7 - 9 p.m.) because it was so much cooler!
