“A must.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

I was amazed at the enormity and complexity of this National Monument & World Heritage Site. You can spend an entire day exploring this fortress & learning it's history. If you go to San Juan, this is the biggest and most necessary sight to see.

Absolutely gorgeous fort filled with history. Walking thru it is like going back in time. This place is a definite must see if you're visiting San Juan.

“Amazing Views and Incredible History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

Fantastic site and visit here in San Juan! A must see! Incredibly hard to find such history in the Americas. Beautifully scenic for being right downtown in the middle of the Old San Juan. A great way, also, to make sure you can walk all through Old San Juan when you're here on a cruise and make it back down. Make sure to take the walk way down by the ocean back to the ship. AMAZING views down there as well and at the end of the harbor as well.

“Must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014 via mobile

They charge $5 per person to get in and it is good for this and Cristabol for a week. I did hear that they charge to use the bathroom, but didn't check it out for myself. I know cristabol has free bathrooms. The views at the top are breathtaking and the signs are all very informative. I felt a self guided tour was all that was needed with all the signs. Make sure to bring a good camera and walking shoes. Sun screen and water are also a must. Climbing the light house at the top was a favorite
