I'm the kind of person who reviews restaurants based solely on the food but I have to say, not only does the food deserve a high rating but the service was top notch as well.
Short version: This is a delicious tapas restaurant frequented by locals and undiscovered by tourists (although not for long, I'm sure.)
Long version: We randomly found this spot and almost thought it was closed but decided to poke our heads in anyway. SO glad we did!
The place was clean and had a lot of personality. The music was eclectic and noticeably tasteful. We got there around 2PM and the place had a laid back vibe although I have no doubt that during peak hours this place gets packed. In fact, another patron who was there at the time remarked that she was a regular and that the place had an alternate personality at night when it became much more lively.
Our waiter was really knowledgeable about every dish on the menu, he had excellent recommendations and he was super welcoming. We were the only tourists in there and the menu was in Spanish. Neither of us speak Spanish but we were able to make out the main ingredients in each item just fine and our waiter filled in the gaps.
The food - served tapas style - was beautifully presented and was full of flavor. The portions are perfectly sized - a bit on the larger side for tapas - and the menu was pretty diverse. After eating (way too much) we asked the waiter to pass our compliments to the chef. Before we left the restaurant, the chef came out himself to thank us for stopping by which I thought was a really nice gesture.
