“COZY, CLEAN AND PERFECT LOCATION”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

If you are looking for a resort type hotel it is not the place to go, but if you are looking for a good place, with excellent location and with a good price this is the place to go.
We stayed at this Hotel during thanksgiving weekend, we travel with two babies. They gave us the room number II just in front of the breakfast area, it is a very spacious room just in the first floor and just next to the kitchen area, it was perfect for us specially because we were traveling with two little babies. The room has a refrigerator and it is also next to the pool.
If having a nice pool is important to you, here you won't find it, the pool is small, but for us it was just OK. The hotel is just a few blocks away from the beach, these are the same beaches from the big hotels of this area. And all the area is perfect for walking, shopping, activities, take pictures, and visit good restaurants.
The breakfast is very good, different kind of juices and it includes eggs and jam.
They have internet access, but I was not able to get it from my room. Margarita the manager and all the employees were very warm and helpful.
If you are looking for a good location in a warm and cozy place where you will feel at home but you don't want to overpay for staying in a big resort, this hotel is the place to go. I highly recommend this place, hopefully in my next visit they will have baby cribs and the internet access from my room will be working.

Room Tip: The room II is just in front of the breakfast room and is very spacious (Doubleroom),and you don'...

I picked this hotel for a two night stay prior to a cruise. I didn't stay at one of the larger hotels and/or resorts in the area as we had plans elsewhere in Puerto Rico for a good part of our stay and I didn't think it was worth the extra $$$. Pros: Julio great customer service in addition to the other staff members. Art Deco hotel was clean the layout was nice, continental breakfast was very good. Ice Machine and washer and dryer were available. In room safe was delivered to our room as requested. We requested an hour late checkout this was approved without any additional fees. Cons - Internet was spotty at best and did not work in our room even though we had a router Julio tried to fix it. I had to hook up to the router outside room 15 and sit on the floor with my ipad to check email. The hot tub was cold. We reported it on Thursday. It didn't work until we checking out two days later. Room 24 light over the vanity didn't work which made it difficult to shave and shower. We spoke to the front desk on the way out and the light bulbs were manufactured by a chinese company that went out of business. They found another company whom are manufacturing them. At times we didn't have hot water to shower it was warm at best one morning my husband had a cold shower. In summary I would like to give this hotel 3.5+ but I went out of my way to ensure I would have internet and to have a router in a room that doesn't function is unacceptable. But with that said I loved the hotel, decor, staff, etc.

Room Tip: If you need internet don't choose room 24 however room 15 seem to work well. That was the name...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon in October. This hotel is perfect in term of location, in the centre of Condado, 5-10 mins walk from the beach, and lots of shops nearby.
The staff was very nice and welcome. The manager was very nice as well, and all speak English, which was essential for us as we don't speak Spanish.
The room are all with air conditioning, towels are provided with all the necessary. It's clear and the beds are comfortable.
We were lucky enough to have met the manager and discussed with us before, and as a "gift" for our honeymoon and because she was very nice with us, she upgraded us to the penthouse suite for free, which was the highlight of our stay.
Many thanks to all the staff at the hotel and I would recommend it for a nice stay in San Juan.

This small, boutique hotel was much more to our liking than one of the big resort hotels would have been. The location is close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The premises are simple and lovely, and our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate, and we really loved the always-available coffee and fruit juices. Don't count on the free parking--the four spaces were usually occupied, but we were able to find street parking after lots of hunting. We would definitely stay here again if we ever make a return trip to Puerto Rico, which we loved.

I stayed at this hotel about a year ago and decided to write a review now since a friend of mine asked for some hotel recommendations in San Juan.

This hotel was perfect for me and my Boyfriend. It was quaint, small and friendly. The location was great and the staff were very nice and accommodating.

As others noted, location is very good--2 blocks from beach, but without the high prices of the beachfront hotels. Room was fine, nothing special, but clean and comfortable. Parking complaints of others are justified: only 4-5 small spots (the number changes with the location of the flower pots), so you should resign yourself to paying $13/day at the lot a block away. Not too bad for me, but single women might feel uncomfortable making that walk at night, although that area is crawling with police. Good continental breakfast, a little better than what you usually find in the states (includes meat, which I guess is a European thing). Juice machine is available 24/7, which is great in that very warm climate. Driving in Puerto Rico is a major adventure, so if you're uncomfortable driving in midtown Manhattan or on the L.A. freeways, you might want a hotel with shuttle service. Otherwise, if you don't mind walking a few blocks to your car, and battling the traffic and bizarre road system, this hotel is a good value.

Great cozy boutique hotel. A block away from Condado area night life. Very clean rooms and relaxing. Typical continental breakfast included. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Highly recommend if you want a quiet get away.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms in the back of the building.
