“Found spectacular!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

After 3 days we finally found the best food in the Condado area. This place is a must go. The food is excelente. The staff is great, they really do take care of you. The meals are plentiful and tastes like its straight from the Puerto Rican kitchen. Yummy. .. will definitely be back for another meal before we leave.

“Great for samples and dessert”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We had the combo dinner which was a great way to sample several different Puerto Rican foods at one time. The best part of the meal though was dessert. Try the tres leches cake. We must have went back every other night to order tres leches to go. Yummy!! Since we were staying at La Concha, it was easy to walk across and grab dessert or pina coladas to go!!

“Must Try!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend who had recently visited Puerto Rico. After a day in Old San Juan, we took a taxi back to our hotel and the driver recommended this little place as well.

The place was just opening when we arrived and they kindly warned that it would be about 40 minutes before our food was served because everything is made fresh.

There were nine people in our group and everyone ordered something different. Absolutely no complaints from anyone.

We came back for breakfast and lunch on various days throughout our trip. The waiters were awesome. Do yourself a favor and try this little gem.

“Convenient and Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Across the street from La Concha on Ashford this is an easy restaurant to find. Though unassuming from the outside it is busy with locals and tourists. We had the combo plate including pork, chick pea pastel, fried plantains and rice as well as a chicken mofongo. They were wonderful, our first experience with traditional Puerto Rican food! I would recommend both dishes. The restaurant offers a patio, bar seating and an air conditioned area towards the kitchen. The prices here were below average for our trip about $10 to $15 for most dishes. Enjoy.

“Great place for authentic, tasty food and local beers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I asked a local for a good place to try some good Puerto Rican food and they pointed us here. We tried mofongos (delicious!) and a type of gumbo with rice and chicken. Our server was really helpful in explaining what everything was. Everything was great, cute little place on the main drag directly across the street from La Concha.
