This Radisson has obviously been undergoing a makeover and there is a noticeable effort to bring the hotel up to the quality level associated with the pricing. Unfortunately, it's not there yet. On the plus side, housekeeping, amenities are good. Location is excellent. However, it speaks to the business acumen that the hotel restaurant was closed during peak holiday season. The front desk really needs some training on qualities such as politeness and quality. To be fair, every time the hotel screwed up and there were some doozies, management moved fast to fix it quickly. With the exception of the check-in staff, everyone was friendly and good. This might owe more to the fact that Puerto Ricans are friendly people than the hotel itself.
Overall, you won't have a bad stay, but it won't be a great stay. However this is Condado and for the strip this is one of the better hotels. As for crime concerns, the strip is safe as there is a heavy police presence and a lot of residential buildings so there are always people around. Family wise, its good because Puerto Ricans haven't lost their fondness for kids or patience for the elderly. The hotel is close to all the beaches and I walked for hours on beaches that were great. People can bring their dogs but they are well behaved and people pick up after them. All in all you stay at this hotel for the location and not for the hotel itself.
