I stayed heer in January for a sales meeting. A great busness hotel in a great ocean front location - nothing but good things to say. I can't say what price was paid because I never saw the bill, but we all had a great stay.

We are worldwide travellers, know the Conrad hotels and remember very nice experiences, one of which in Singapore. We did chose the Condado Conrad for a 5 nights stay expecting excellent services and restaurants. What a surprise to the sloppy service and more particularly, to the terrible restaurants. No restaurant at the level promised by costly promotions, except for one, all are fast foods. The cook even failed a simple order of two sunny side up.
Since there is no other restaurants in the immediate area of Condado, we ended up eating at night at the nearby Hilton.

This hotel has two towers. The one on the North side of the street overlooks the Atlantic, the other is on the bay side. We had a room looking out over the ocean and the view was definitely worth the price. We sat on the balcony every day and watch the surf, the people, the ships coming & going, and the sunsets. We had a King bed with a *really* large enough bathroom, pocket door, walk-in glass walled shower, closet, dresser, mini-fridge, safe, toilet, sink, and vanity. We needed someplace to hang wet beach towels and swim suits, so had room to set up the ironing board in the bathroom to hang our stuff and still had enough room to walk around in there!

We were there for a company sponsored trip. The staff was courteous, the rooms were spacious enough, and the location was nice! Safe neighborhood: we walked to restaurants and some shopping nearby. We safe police officers sprinkled in every public location at night so weren't worried about security.

I booked this hotel as a package on Expedia with my flight included. It was between this and the Caribe Hilton. My boyfriend and I chose this on a whim. After I booked I began to regret it as so many of the reviews on here were negative (some VERY negative) about the hotel, the service, everything. I am SO GLAD I ignored them and kept my reservation. From beginning to end we were thrilled with this hotel.

When we arrived I asked if they had any upgrades available (I had booked a standard City View room.) The check-in agent told me they had an ocean view room available but that it had 2 Queen beds. I asked how much the upgrade cost and she said "nothing, its free." We didn't care that it had 2 beds - we only used one - but having the ocean view was well worth it.

The room was HUGE and so was the bathroom. Yes there was some wear and tear (the hotel is more than 50 years old) but it did not in any way impact the quality of our stay. Housekeeping was very thorough. Beds were made, pillows fluffed, towels replenished, bathroom scrubbed.

The pool area was perfect every day and the bar service was excellent. Unlike other reviews we never waited for towels from the concierge. We only ate at one restaurant - the Caribe Cafe - and only for breakfast. Service was prompt, price was VERY cheap, and food was good. No complaints there.

Overall the only thing this hotel lacks is a better location. The Vanderbilt and La Concha are closer to the action in Condado but the Conrad is a great deal with nice rooms and a friendly staff.
