“Like no other fort in the US!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

This fort is a real fort, which had to protect San Juan for centuries. Multiple battles involving different invaders in different centuries tried to attack and conquer it. They let you roam everywhere, even into the light house. It was only $5 p/p for both forts. The money was well worth it. Make sure you take advantage of the free tram that the cruise lines and taxi drivers neglect to mention. This is a can't miss.

“A Must See in Old San Juan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

El Moro is a great place to bring the family while visiting Puerto Rico. Kids will love exploring this old fort. It's quite large and has lots of interesting facts displayed along the way. The vistas are gorgeous as well.

“This is a "must see" spot in San Juan. Yes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

Had a couple of days before a Carnival Cruise on Victory, and this was a great half-day place to visit. Actually, spend several hours at this fort. Amazing. Loved it! Did not take a "guided" tour, but just walked around. On a nice day, it's incredibly beautiful, the ocean looked great, and my pictures turned out excellent. If you like old forts, this is a "must stop" location. Take water and wear comfortable walking shoes, you'll be walking and climbing a bit.
