Ride from airport -- MUCH improved over our trip 4 years ago -- pretty much all highway. Took less than an hour. Check in -- we had to wait a bit for our room to be ready, but no problem, we grabbed some lunch. Pools/pool bars: awesome, kept the cocktails flowing, clean pool, delicious drinks, friendly bartenders. Beach: don't go there if you want a great beach. The view is great -- waves crashing over the rocks, nice sunsets. . . but walking on the beach, swimming at the beach -- not the place to do that. Staff: the entertainment staff I swear is superhuman. These people are in amazing shape, always energetic, great performers, friendly as can be. Rest of staff is more hit-or-miss, but no problems. Risque factor: VERY risque. You may see things you thought only happened in movies. Maybe more. If you want, you can probably also do things you thought only happened in movies (unless you're a single guy, then you're likely to be stuck just watching, and looking creepy). That being said, you will not be pressured to do anything you don't want to. If you are ever made to feel uncomfortable, let one of those buff entertainment guys know -- they'll take care of it. Food: delicious. Buffet is just OK, restaurants are great, but don't go there for the food. Tennis: nice courts. Workout room: two treadmills, two stairclimbers, two ellipticals, two bikes, free weights, benches, and a copule nautilus. Nicely air conditioned with a water cooler. Rooms: nice view, OK, maybe that's about it. If you have to have a great hotel room, go elsewhere.

Overall, go with an open mind, a (very) stable partner/spouse, lots of energy, and a big smile. You will not be disappointed (unless you're offended by porn type things, in which case, well, don't bother).

We booked into Hedo 3 over 9 months ago for the period December 10- Dec 17. We' were just told that we are being bounced from our accomadations because a group "tookover" the resort for the period of Dec 10 thru the 14th. I called the resort and they couldn't care less, they said it's too bad and we've got to go to another resort.
If you are considering going to a Hedo property, make sure they guarantee that they will honor their commitment to assure you that you will be staying on their property and not being sent to some other resort--- like a holiday inn .

As returning guest, we knew what to expect.
But this time, it was just amazing.
We flew directly from Ottawa to MBJ, within 15mins,we went thru customs and we were sitting in the bus on our way to the resort. After 1 short stop at the Breezes, we arrived at Hedo. (The whole trip including the "pit stop" took less than 1 1/2 hr). The warm "welcome back" from the staff made us feel right at home. A large group was departing the next day so our preferd room was not available upon our arrival. We took what they offered and we switched the next day.
Thanks to Chef John and his crew, the food & the wine selection was even better than in March.
Every night the EC were putting on a nice show and then we were off to the Piano Bar (where the lyrics had a make over!) and some nights we made it to the disco.
Once again, we realized how a group can change the atmosphere of the resort. This time the Dance Wiked for a Week group was there. They were so nice and open people. They let anybody join their daily pole dancing classes, which I took full advantage of! It was so much fun!
Yes the place is a bit run down, but we are not going to Hedo for the rooms. Everything in our room worked, it was nice and clean but it's not a 5 stars. We personnaly spend much more time on the longue chairs by the pool! One day the "nude" side decided to take over the prude side , it was hilarious.
Again, if you're offended by public nudity, don't go there. But if you're looking to meet very interesting people (lots of business owners) , have fun like kids and re-connect with your spouse, this is the place to go. Our next trip is already booked. Can't wait to go back "home"!
