We were not sure what to expect but this place was marvelous. The people there were so wonderful and treated us like family. The food was wonderful and always ready, drinks at the blink of an eye, beautiful facilities and the nicest staff ever. The rooms are big and air conditioned and very clean.

You will love the option of three pools, one nude, one nude or not and one not nude. You can make your choice. And dont worry everyone here is perfectly comfortable with who they are. They are all there to just have a great time, no matter their age, size, finacial status, etc.

This is not necessarily a place for singles. Most people who attend here are already in some kind of commited relationship. Swingers are welcome or married couples etc.

You wont be pressured into doing anything that you dont want to do so you never have to worry about that.

At the nude pool you can just hang out, meet new people, have some drinks, play volleyball and watch the sun set. Its marvelous fun.

its the most comforatble I have felt with my naked self ever in my life. And everyone is comfortable, and its a great great time.

There is a marvelous piano bar and lots of entertainment. Be sure to pack light, you wont need to wear much, even to dinner a lightweight shirt and shorts or cute dress. And be sure to look and see what each nite requires you to wear to get into the disco. You will love it all!

This is a great vacation and we loved every minute of it. I highly recommend this all inclusive resort. You wont be sorry.

We read many reviews on various forums so we were prepared for some of the PDS at the Nude Pool "after 5". What we were not prepared for was the take over by a group of the whole quad area. We were not prepared to witness PDS countless times before 5 at the Nude Pool. We were not prepared for the facilities to be run down, but after witnessing how many guest treated the place, I am not surprised. Many of the "group" were disrespectful to the staff, property and other guests. They would party all night, then leave it ALL for the staff to clean up. There was garbage in the quad pool and laying all over the deck.

One night we came back to find that my husband's cell phone and charger had been "removed" from our room. In 7 trips to Jamaica, we never had issues. We went immediately to the desk and filed a report with security who came back and "investigated" and yes, confirmed the phone was missing. We know it should have been put away. We were told the General Manager would get with us in the morning. We were not expecting anything, it was our fault that we left it out. We were planning on an excursion the next day, but instead waited to hear from the GM. It never happened. The next day, guest services called to check on our trip. I relayed the info about the phone and waiting for the GM and she said she would let the GM know. Again, nothing. So two days of no contact with us from the GM. To us this shows lack of caring for the guests.

Food--If you want pizza, tacos, hamburgers, then you should be be happy. Fruit consisted of canned peaches, prunes, pineapple, canteloupe (which tasted old) and honey dew that was hard. There were bananas only on one day and no mangos or papayas unless you went across the street and purchased your own. Salad bar consisted of many mayo based salads (tuna, chicken) lettuce, tomatoes and four different kinds of olives EVERYDAY! I had tilapia at breakfast, shrimp for dinner on another night but that was the extent of seafood. The breakfast buffet most mornings had the items from the evening before--geesh. We did enjoy John 's (nude beach grill) Jerk chicken nachos and jerk chicken salad. I enjoyed the creamy garlic soup also.

The staff works very hard and for the most part were very friendly and helpful. The EC tends to not stick to schedules and can be hard to find. We had some Hedo bucks to turn in and it took us two days and a trip to the front desk to turn them in for our bottle of Appleton Special Rum ($45 hedo bucks and it took the whole trip and then some to earn these).

We did not hear Raggae music until we returned home and got in the car. We didn't get that. Also, guests from Breezes came over on day passes and would take over the bar.

Our housekeeping staff kept everything very clean, but I am still waiting for the ice bucket.

Would we return, probably not. Why, mostly because the GM never did address our issue. We weren't expecting anything more than acknowledgement of the problem.

Superclubs need to work on the lounge also. Sandals and Couples both have lounges with private restroom facilities, but at the Superclubs lounge you have to go out to the general facility and hope your shuttle doesn't leave before you get back. Also Sandals and Couples offer free beer, pepsi and water. Superclubs does give you a bottle of water. And no welcome home, first time since we started returning, we have not been welcomed home.

“Hedo II vs Hedo II, Either is a Great Place in the Islands”

SuperClubs Hedonism III

Jul 17, 2008

Given all the reviews here, we'll cut right to the chase about some things that aren't really addressed...

What's the difference between Hedo II and Hedo III?
Hedo II has a better beach and caters to an older crowd (45+), while Hedo III doesn't have quite as nice a beach (still okay though) and caters to a younger crowd (20's to early 40's). "Birds of a feather...", so go to the one that's most appropriate for your age and you will have a MUCH better time.

Single guys?
Yes, Hedo allows single guys, which can make some girls uncomfortable. However, they generally keep their distance and aren't much trouble. Guys, don't go thinking that hooking-up is a sure thing as most couples (97%) have zero interest in solo guys, and the majority of single females are looking for other girls or for the stress free experience of hanging out with couples.

Food?
A lot of jerk chicken, and nothing that'll have you singing. If you want a culinary experience, this isn't the place to go. Food here, even in the specialty restaurants, is really just meant to keep you energized for the days and nights.

Clothing Optional?
If you go with a takeover, then the entire resort may be clothing optional (the most fun that way, really). Normally though, the resort has a small clothing optional pool and beach and a much, much larger clothing required beach and pool.

Play?
You are likely to see at least some play in the clothing optional areas, but the staff tries pretty hard to keep that down (not really sure why, after all this is a lifestyle resort).

Photos?
This is one thing the staff is great at. If they see a camera appear anywhere in the clothing optional areas they are quickly, and politely, there to prevent it. Even during a takeover, and even with a group of friends...they are very well trained in this regard and do a lot to protect your privacy.

Staff?
As others have said, they really are friendly and you often hear the famous "ya mon" when you ask something.

We love Hedo, and if we lived on the east coast we'd go often (especially with takeover groups, as that's more our thing).

“First time and not the last”

My wife and I have never taken a trip to the caribbean and after internet surfing decided on Hedo 3. We were not disappointed. We traveled with another couple and upon arrival met the very cordial and friendly staff, especially the bartenders, particularly Helmsley, the bar supervisor and from that point on had a great time. We had a ocean front room near the Scotch Bonnet cafe and I have no complaints. Food was good, if not great with plenty of variety. We ate at the Japanese and the Italian restuarants (I liked the Japanese one better)but the Scotch Bonnet was great for jerked Jamaican. The floor shows were fun but could be a little repetative. My wife and I have been talking with friends and are starting to think about making arrangements to go back with a larger group as soon as possible. WE LOVED IT.

“Overall Good Time”

Here is an email comment I sent to the Hedo Staff:

Dear Sirs,
This was my 5th visit to Hedo. Overall each and everytime I have a great time. However, there are 3 issues I have noticed to be recurring and I thought, since it happened again this year, that it needs to be said.

1. The food- In the (3) restaurants & grill, the food is always delicious, the dining room--touch and go--sometimes yes and most times no.
a. I found there was limited variety in the daily breakfast selection. It was very boring.
b. Lunch is usually spent at da grill or the scotch bonnet. I am always satisfied.
c. Dinner-- I often the found the food to be overcooked and dry (e.g. baked white chicken meat).

2. Towels and washcloths- If there is one thing I cannot stand, lieing to me is one of them. When I first arrived, fresh towels and washcloths were not an issue. But as soon as the masses came in from Thurs on, towels and washcloths became scarce. Several phone calls and front desk visits were made to try and make sense of this and each time I am either told, they are in the wash or we will send someone right up with some. I literally had to hide my washcloth to make sure I had one each time I bathed. Not cool at all.

3. Repeaters reception - never heard of it and was never invited. What's up with that?

Though I will continue to make Hedo III my regular vacation spot, I feel I have no choice other than to bring canned food, washcloths and towels. That to me is ridiculous to have to do when Hedo III is an ALL-INCLUSIVE resort.

I do hope you find my comments to be helpful and I do hope when I return I will not witness and experience a repeat performance of my above complaints.

Perhaps I am not the first to make comment. If I am I would be surprised. None the less, I thought it best to give you feedback just in case you didn't know where my (as well as a few others in my group) dissapointments in Hedo III lie.

Thank you in advance for your attention to these matters.
