Me and my family came to Jamaica In April 2004.
We had reservations at Royal Decameron Club Caribbean, which is right next door to Sunflower Villas Resort. Just before boarding the plane to Montego Bay we were notified by R. D. Club Caribbean that they were overbooked and they did not have any space for us (family of 11!)
What to do? Well, we decided to go anyway, but to make a long story short, in the end we were accommodated at one of Sunflower's luxury villas, Guango Villa, and we enjoyed a glorious 2 weeks with them.
We are already planning our next holiday in Jamaica, which will definately be at Sunflower Villas Resort once again.

My family and me have stayed at Cindy, one of Sunflower's luxury villas August 2003, January 2004 and I am coming back in August 2004. We are very happy there. I have my own private pool, the beach is just across the street and I enjoy the luxury of having personal staff cooking and cleaning for me. We always stay at least 10 days and every time I wish it could be longer. We would not want to stay anywhere alse.

I have been coming to Sunflower for the past 6 years and I totally disagree with the comments above. It is a clean, friendly and decent hotel, which I would recommend to anybody that has to go on a low budget vacation in Jamaica. There are rooms with A/C or fan, every morning there are clean towels and the sheets are changed regularly.
There are 3 bedrooms in one cottage, living and dining area. But I suggest to anyone staying at Sunflower to go on the all inclusive plan, because the food is absolutely delicious. The beach is about a mile away, but they do provide free transfers there and back. In all I always feel at home at Sunflower and I will be coming back there many more times.

I stayed here when I was younger. I felt that this place needed to be renovated. Thank God at the time that one of my cousin that lived on the island was our housekeeper that's the only reason we survive our trip. We had no A/C it was broken and the fan was no help. I can tell anyone who's planning on staying here choose somewhere else that's worth while. Rent a real guest house that's up in the hills.
