I just returned from a weeks vacation at this resort and had a wonderful time. The resort is small but that is exactly what I wanted and it's Adult Only which is also what I wanted so it was perfect. Well the staff here are the best, let me start with my housekeeper Fay, she was the best and had the most pleasing personality and she made feel completely safe. I would like to extend a special thank you to Timothy, Omar, Storm, Phillip, Stephen, Mellonie, Tony, Kaheem and my dear friend Leroy who was looking out for me all week. The food was very good and weather was sunny and I met some wonderful people from Wisconsin who kindly ask me to join them on shopping trip to Ocho Rios which was fantastic as well. I would go back this resort in a heartbeat.

My sister and I decided to take a last minute trip to Jamaica and she booked our stay at Club Ambiance or Club "No Frills" as I affectionately began to call it. Upon reading the reviews, the common consensus was that this place would be average, but was overall a good time. It definitely isn't your 5-star resort, but you already should know that given their star rating. They really didn't have any frills: no nice beach, no swim up bar, not too many activities, the list can go on and on. BUT, when we arrived I was very impressed with their customer service. The front desk staff was very pleasant, and even gave us a tour of the property. The rooms were clean, and had hot water (something people always seem to complain about in other reviews). I wasn't quite a fan of the food all of the nights, but it did have its good moments. The drinks weren't my favorites. A lot of their specialty drinks were too milky for me, and some of the days I preferred not to drink at all. Definitely don't ask for a Long Island, but they don't know how to make it. There were also times that we were hungry in the middle of the night, and the staff was nice enough to fix us plates (which isn't something they advertised). The hot tub was nice, but I was a little disappointed that there isn't a real beach. The water is very shallow, and it doesn't extend very far. We did take advantage of the snorkling though, which was fun. We made friends with some of the workers so they took us into town and show us the local clubs and scenery in Ocho Rios.

Overall I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of attention they gave each traveler. We had many nights of fun at the bar, and the bar tender was a great singer! You definitely have to request the Bob Marley shot, but watch your hair because you have to drink around the flames.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to travel on a budget!

I have to start, with the fact that there is not large walkable beach you can walk about to and fro. You also cannot swim in the ocean, and by swim I mean seriously swim like 500 meters out in the ocean. There is a tiny bay to dip into and there is a pool. Staff is nice above and beyond except for travel booking they make mistakes and drivers tend to rip you off, girls are cute. Food is great, drink are not diluted. Convenient location to attractions, like Ochio Rios and Dunn's River Falls and Green Grroto Caves. If you want a beach you need to bycicle to a nearby public beach which not really white sand. It is ok to get bored. ALso it rainey every morning until 9am, mostly cloud y every days, and one day rain 24/7

My husband and I stayed at CA over Christmas and New Years. This is our second Christmas/New Years and plan to go back this coming one. Can't say enough about the friendly staff that make this resort. From the time you check in till you leave you become part of the big happy family at CA(should be called Fun Ambiance).

I was very very sad to hear that Joseph and Garrett were let go. They are a couple of really nice guys, always would ask if you needed anything & making sure everything was ok. Was so looking forward to seeing them this coming holiday.

Bottom line, the place is dated(they're working on it), but clean, food & drink really good, nightly entertainment a great band and if you want to go to a resort where you are a person not a number this is the resort for you.
