We have just returned from our first trip to Club Ambiance. We are a 50+ yr old couple that have traveled to jamaica on 7 seperate occasions and were looking for some R & R this trip.

FOOD -- VERY GOOD -- LIMITED QUANITIES

Breakfast consisted of the usual fare, Omlets/eggs made to order, with a buffet that consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, a variety of fruits, potatoes, french toast, pancakes and a few jamaican breakfast items.

Lunch, Grilled burgers, tuna melts, BBQ, Deserts, Rice, Veggies & Salad bar. All very good!!

Dinner, Sirloin steak, rice, chicken & fish dishes, potatoes, veggies, salad & fruit bar. Most dinners had choice of only two main dishes.

:-( - We found the main dining room to be EXTREMELY HOT in the evenings. So much so that it was uncomfortable. CA needs to invest in larger ceiling fans to move the air around and get it circulating. It is not "Cool" to sweat in ones plate while eating dinner.

ENTERTAINMENT

Very talented band and singers. We enjoyed listening to the band, watching the shows etc. BUT... We both feel that CA needs to turn down the speakers. They are MUCH to loud for our taste and as the evening wore on, we went to our rooms and could still hear the band playing over the TV.

EC's - Need to quit badgering (YES, I AM USING THE WORD BADGERING) the guests to sign up for their games. They also need to tell the TRUTH about what the games consist of instead of leaving out most of it. (Dancing in front of the crowd, running around kissing the guys and asking for shirts etc) Those that are not in good shape, have health issues etc. cannot do some of the things that the EC's expect you to do in those games and we were very put off by being lied to!!

ROOM

Very nice and well kept. Air conditioning VERY COLD, nice balcony to sit on, Had issues with hot & cold water a few nights when occupancy was higher but overall no problem mon

STAFF

Probably the happiest staff we have seen in all our trips to Jamaica which made for a very pleasant experience.

This is an ideal getaway and totally child free.
The Entertainment was mixed with a show and a band.Later there's a disco which has a pole for any pole dancers out there.
The Beach was man made so not very big or good, the pool area was fine with ample sunbeds and sunshades and a pool bar and a jaccuzi. If you like beaches there is a nice one about a mile down the road with changing room/shower facilities, a car park and a nice bar serving drinks and food.
If you fancy Dunn's river falls it's best to hire your own taxi then you can stay as long as you like the Taxi will wait for you, our taxi driver was Ernest his sister has a small bar about 200 yards from the hotel.
The food was good with a wide variety for breakfast, lunch & dinner and snacks at midnight.
It was a nice hotel but not many places to go to near by, an ideal place to relax.

The staff is great, the food out of this world, the entertainment excellent. I don't know how any one could ever give a bad review about Club Ambiance. We met couples from all over and everyone was having a great time. The view from our room was breathtaking. We def will come back.

I've been to club ambiance with my boyfriend and an other couple. We are 22, 27, 27 and 24 years old and we had fun. This is not a big resort, so theres no line up to eat, to drink...
The food is good, and you should know im really hard to please. The only thing that dissapointed about the food was when i paid an extra to eat a lobster supper with my friends. Turn out : no lobster ! It was a really big scampie in my plate. So if you're a lobster fan you should not take the supper "a la carte" . The menus were simple but good. We had a bbq night that was memorable. The drinks were delicious, i know people said they were strong but hey! VACATIONS!

There were no ambiance at club ambiance simply because its a adult resort and adults doesnt want to be involved in games that the employees made. In fact, theres a club opening every evening at 23:00 (yes only one club that look like an old stripper club) but when i was there it seems that nobody else was there ( 20 people max).

People who go to club ambiance are adult only so theres no babies and kids running everywhere, thats a good thing but most of the people went to theirs rooms after supper and after the show. About the show, theres a music show every night which is great but its always the sames songs played by the same band.

The rooms are great, simple but great. We had a cute balcony near to the beach, it was really nice. Toilets are clean, shower pressure is good.

We went to ocho rios to make some shopping. the trip was a 2h trip organised by the hotel. they send us with a driver thats stop at some spots. Turned out the driver was making money every time we bough something from the people who were selling. The people are trying to force you to buy its really unpleasant. They really have an agressive comportement, im a shopaholic and i wanted to leave after the first spot !!!!

About the beaches : Yes its true, at club ambiance you cannot take long walks on beach and you cannot swim really far away from the resort. But i will tell you a tip. Nearby the hotel (15 min walk) you have the most amazing beach i've ever seen. A perfect and big beach!!!. We went there 3 times during morning (8 til 11) to swim, take waves and relax. We went there early so nobody else was on the beach (nobody was trying to sell us stuff!!), its also a safe beach but we didnt bring money or anything else than a towel and our clothes. I remember the sand was perfect and i stayed in the water 2hours each time we went there!
