There are some breath taking views, and some wonderful attractions including Frenchman's Cove. Frenchman's Cove was our favorite.
Port Antonio is not that tourist friendly. The roads are absolutely terrible. There are not shuttles, so we ended up spending a lot of money on taxis. The taxi services charge a lot.
Because the roads are so bad, tourism is not that popular which means the hotels/restaurants are not reinvesting and upgrading. Many of the nice restaurants (like the Blue Lagoon & Trident Hotel) no longer exist. The hotels are some what run-down.
I would recommend going to Montego Bay or Port Antonio. There are a lot more attractions, and the area is more convenient for tourists. We were disappointed with Port Antonio.
