I experienced such a remarkable change in my husbands eating habits while staying at the Jamaica Palace Hotel, that I cant wait to share it with others. We arrived in Port Antonio September 15, 2003 , planning to spend one week at the Palace and then move on to explore Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. The Hotels Beauty was beyond our expectation. Our room was very clean and tastefully decorated and the King Size Bed was so comfortable that we did not wake up till late in the morning. We enjoyed Breakfast at our private Balcony and decided to spend the day at the Pool. The peaceful quietness along with the lush tropical vegetation led to total relaxation und we felt that we had the whole place for ourselves. Wrong thinking! When we entered the Dining Room at Dinnertime we were surprised to see that many people. It all started when I selected the Fish Mousse on hot Potato Pancakes as Appetizer. It was so delicious that I tried to convince my husband to sample it. (He never liked Fish at all } When he finally tasted the Fish Mousse there was nothing left from my Appetizer anymore. Immediately after, he called the waiter to cancel his order for the Main Course to exchange it with a large Portion of Fish Mousse on hot Potato Pancakes ! From than on he had it every day. From the third day on, he only had to point to his stomach when he saw a waiter and the Fish Mousse was served shortly after. We did not explore other parts of Jamaica! We spend the entire three weeks of our Vacation at The Jamaica Palace Hotel. When we finally had to leave, it felt like parting from Family. Most certainly I was provided with the recipe to prepare my husbands latest addiction at home. Even by putting a lot of effort into the preparation of his now unquestionable favoured meal, it never turned out to be as good as we had it at the Jamaica Palace. No doubt about it we must return!
