“Nice quiet beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Visited here with some friends whose relatives live nearby. They serve drinks & food, so it's easy to lose track of the hours in the day. It costs about $10US per person, but well worth it. Clean, beautiful and serene.
It also has a creek that runs into it, making the water a bit cooler than other beaches in the Caribbean. You can also swim in the creek and you don't have waves beating you if the surf is Rough.
If they were to add a volleyball net, it would be perfect

“Lunch on the beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Frenchman's cove is beautiful, just watch out for the currents when you get further out into the sea. The water at the junction of the river and sea is pretty cold. Quite a few birds and plant fauna to see on the way there --- one tree was in full bloom and the parrots were eating the blossoms --- the pink flowers where slowly falling from the sky like a scene from heaven. Lunch on the beach is well worth it (just remember Lobster season is closed in May --- so you can't and shouldn't get them during this time) if lobster is in season, no better place to have it than on the beach at Frenchman's cove

“Love Frenchman's Cove”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

This place is lush, green and breathtaking. There is the option of beach or the river. It has a great atmosphere.

dislike: the drinks are overpriced. I ordered iced tea and got quite a watered-down version of the drink but the ambience of the place made me overlook that. Next time I wont order iced tea lol

“Famous Frenchman's Cove”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Frenchman's Cove property is really beautiful with a fresh water stream meandering throughout and entering in the sea at the beach. The beach is clean and depending on the weather and wind can be anything from a calm sea to big waves. One of the most photographed spots on the island and a filming location for many feature films.

“Loved the ambience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

We were early arrivals and found other visitors, locals, and staff at the beach area very engaging. Restaurant on the beach was great for local seafood, Jamaican style, of course!
