“its a small bay with a trickle of tourists,it has hardly any ammeneties except lots of charm and character on many .....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2010

We stayed by Boston beach in 2008, with my parteners family , you could see the beach from the house. Its a small bay with a trickle of tourists,it has hardly any ammeneties except lots of charm and character. On many occasions we walked two minutes up the rd to the jerk hut took our mountain of food [jerk, festival which is rolled sweet dumpling and roast breadfruit] back to the beach to watch the sun go down, this was washed down with a dragon[jamacian stout!] If you get chance to visit this bay there is lots to do nearby, you can take a taxi to port antonio for $1 [jamacian] the taxi driver will try to pick up as many passengers as he can so be warned! Also frenchmans cove and the blue lagoon are all worth a visit. If you are lucky enough to stay over in boston then the weekly tues night fish party is a must, all the fish you can eat and dancing on the road side until the early hours. this little gem gives you a true taste of the island and is totally unpoilt by hotels and purpose built compexes we are going back this year and i cant wait!

“Good jerk chicken”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2008

The beach itself is not the best one in the area, but the jerk chicken is good. We went to the farther one away from the road on the left (don't recall the name). The chicken was good, but the veggies were soggy. The chicken was moist, unlike some of the others we were told. They also had pork. You will be offered other things (coconut water, drinks, and dagga), but no one was pushy and left us alone once we said no.

“surfing at boston beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2003

Boston Beach is a lovely place to visit. The narrow mouth inlet to the sea provides a lovely view and surf boards can be rented for a low price.

The problem is that the waves are really hit or miss. Chances are that when you go there won't be huge waves but if you're lucky.....

The nice thing is that Long Bay is just up the road so you can check the waves at Boston Beach, have a Red Stripe and a piece of chicken or pork or sausage and then continue down the road to the other Beaches. We walked to the Winnifred Beach just down the road. I do love the North East coast of Jamiaca. Its great if you want to get away from MoBay Ochie etc...
