Boston Beach is a beautiful little public beach that's right off the main street. It is usually labeled as Boston Beach, Port Antonio but that is false since it is not near Port Antonio although they are both in the parish of Portland.
The roads in that part of the island are atrocious as every few feet there are potholes and more potholes. Even the potholes have potholes (no joke). In contrast to the rest of the island, there is a fair amount of surf at Boston Beach so you can see people surfing, wind surfing, snorkeling and swimming there. This is also a popular spot for guys with dreadlocks to hang out and smoke weed.
Nearer to the street are the famous Jerk chicken vendors who sell food there all day. As a result, the already too narrow streets are almost always lined with parked cars, so I recommend pulling forward a bit and parking further up the street, but still where you can see your car. Overall this is a nice beach but I'm not sure I would recommend it for a family day at the beach. There are other beautiful beaches that don't have the traffic, noise and pot heads that Boston Beach has.
