“Paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

Water and nature are uncontaminated at Reach Falls. Just don't go by the standard entrance, and ask for Leonard as tour guide at your accomodation, he is really good!

“Sooooooo Cool!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

If you are without young kids and are remotely adventurous, you need to check this out. Bring a camera and these 2 things are really important...........Go Early, you will have the place to yourself! And you MUST have tennis shoes or water shoes to go to the top. Get Curtis as a guide.

“Beautiful place”

Reach is amazing. Great adventure and amazing scenery and landscape. This is a well taken care of park, with dedicated and passionate staff. Ruel was a solid guide who made sure safety was the top priority.

“Best Thing We Did-Despite the Drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

Just a wonderful experience. Pristine, calm, serene up above the falls. Crystal water, not cold, just refreshing. Don't miss it if you have the opportunity--but find out the cruise ship schedules and avoid going on that day. DO take one of the optional guides. It costs $10/person to get into the Falls park, and we tipped Curtis $15 for 2 of us which was very much appreciated. He made it special, guiding us up the falls, Where to jump the falls, showed me where to swim under and thru a hole, where to step, and gave us a hand or pulled us up to make sure we didn't slip. My wife wasn't going to go in swimming, but when we got above the falls, she saw how calm and beautiful the water was, she relented and is SO glad she did.
We were stayng in Ochos Rios, had rented a car for our time in Jamaica (an experience in itself!) and drove to Reach Falls. It took almost 3 hours! The road to Port Antonio from Ochie was quite good, tho a few series of very tight curves up/down some hills. IT takes nearly 2 hours, even moving along w/o stops. I don't drive like the crazy cab drivers in Jamaica, but can hold my own with Jamaican drivers that are sane despite it being right-hand drive. The road from Port Antonio to Reach Falls is narrower, rougher and has multiple potholes to avoid, but doable and is quite picturesque.
If someone had told us we'd be driving for 5.5 hours to see some falls, we would have said 'Pass', but having been there, we are SO glad we didn't miss it.
