There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Catcha is! My husband and I spent a week here for our honeymoon and we can't wait to get back. Their location on the cliffs offers breathtaking views and there are plenty of cozy nooks to lounge in a beach chair all day and sip one of the delicious cocktails from Ivan's Bar. We loved every meal we had at Ivan's- I would recommend anything on the menu; and yes, we tried most everything! The staff here are such lovely people, we very much enjoyed getting to know them and they were always willing to help us arrange transportation, plan an excursion and recommend their favorite places in Negril. We stayed in the Pisces and it was a comfortable space for us, we loved having the hammock with a view of the sea and the outdoor shower was a nice touch!

Room Tip: The Pisces is a great room, but as other travelers have mentioned, it is close to the gate so you do...

We just had our 4th trip to Catcha and loved every minute of it. This little getaway in paradise is just what any couple or small group needs in order to have a true vacation. The staff are amazing, the food is wonderful and each room has its own special touch to it. We have stayed at a couple of other places, but only because Catcha was booked. We will never stay anywhere else. We love the family at Catcha, and are always treated with respect and love. We cannot wait to come back, relax and enjoy another great stay at Catcha!

Room Tip: If staying during the summer months, try and choose a room with AC, it gets very warm and being able...

I stayed here for a girls trip. We prefer smaller hotels to the all inclusive mega clubs. The location/view ate spectacular. The rooms were adequate, nothing special. Some rooms are nicer than others. The service staff was not overly eager to please, but we're not unacceptable. The food at Ivan's IS very good, however it's a little pricey for the serving size. This hotel overall is a good value for the price.

Starting with our first steps into Catcha, our experience was supremely relaxing. After wading through Montego and navigating the narrow streets of Negril, walking into Catcha is like taking a huge breath of fresh air. We could not have been more pleased with our choice of Resort. We left Catcha one day, to visit the famous Ricks and Margaritaville, but almost immediately contracted separation anxiety and couldn't wait to get back. Andrea, Mauvette, Kevin, Ty and Kinesa were the best and most helpful staff we have ever encountered. We traveled with another couple and they completely share our feelings. Our days were wondrously routine and were spent in complete satisfaction: bloody mary's in the morning, jump from the cliffs, morning swim, breakfast, then a never-ending supply of paradise and red stripes (pina colada for the wife). Thank you from Brad and Kristi!

Room Tip: We stayed in star which is an amazing rustic bungalow. The only issue with it is that there is no a...

Overall it's a great hotel. The staff especially are very friendly and accomodating. The ocean views, the pool, the sunsets, the stars, and the gardens were all wonderful and Ivan's is a great place to eat! Whenever we left the hotel to go to the beach or eat or whatever, coming back to Catcha always felt like "coming home".

I think my expectations may have been unrealistically high due to all the raving reviews, but regardless I have a few gripes. We stayed in Aries and Libra (each 3 nights), and they both had some minor issues (listed below). The hot tub didn't work the entire week! So, that was very dissapointing. I also thought the bar was expensive and wished there was some kind of happy hour or discount for people staying there. I would recommend stopping at the Hi-Lo in Negril on your way from the airport to pick up some food and booze.

But, like I said, overall it's a great hotel and I'm glad we chose Negril and glad we chose Catcha over an all-inclusive!

Room Tip: Aries, and from what I heard the other suites as well, have very poor air circulation. Even with an...

We were married at this little piece of paradise! They are extremely accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our experience was perfect! Photos do not do Catcha justice; it is much more breathtaking than what pictures can do! My hubby and I stayed in the Sagitarius or "Sagi". It is right on the sea and the water lulls you to sleep and wakes you gently in the morning along with the sunlight sparkling off of it! We ate breakfast on our patio/porch/cliff area everyday. Our guests stayed in Gemini II (I think it was II), the Leo, and the Little Capricorn. Our wedding was just a simple ceremony and dinner. The food is the best that we had in Jamaica. We stayed here for 4 days and were sad to leave to go to an all-inclusive Couples resort (which we had never experienced before; travel agent convinced us to try). Couples was fine but Catcha Falling Star is small, personable, romantic, and we loved the time we spent at Catcha. My husband and I prefer Catcha over the Couples resort. It's just a different atmosphere that is unforgettable and will always be dear to our hearts. We definitely plan to go back...again...and again :)

My wife, Kathleen and I, spent another week with the wonderful staff at Catcha. Thanks so much to Andrea, Mauvette, Kevin and all the wait staff and cleaning ladies there who went out of their way to make our stay as great as it was. The grounds and cottage were in great shape, The only down side this year was the weather, it was windy all week and I was only able to snorkel once due to the hight surf. We also had rain several afternoons which dampened our stay.

Room Tip: Be sure and get a massage by Oya while at Catcha, she does a good job.
