“Best Holiday Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Stayed at this small resort from January 21-30th. Best holiday ever. Room where clean with a beautiful view of the ocean and close to the beach. The sunsets where amazing.
From the restaurant staff, cleaning staff, life guards and grounds keepers all went out of their way to greet you or assist you in any way. You where truely welcomed by everyone.
The food was great from the beach bar, buffet or the A la Cartes. Get selection of everything. Breakfast, you where always greeted by Margaret who was willing to make you anything.
The bar was busy by times, but well managed. While at the bar there was JUNIOR who always called you by name and greeted you with a big smile. He is truely asset to Seashore.
The beach was the best in Negril. It was raked daily thanks to Devado and the rest of the crew. We never used the pools as the ocean was crystal clear.
Hoping to come back soon and afford the changes that are coming.
Bob & Sue

Room Tip: Better view from the second and third floors.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

We stayed in a one bedroom suite the week of Feb 10 to 17th - Room was large, clean and comfortable - housekeeping did a fabulous job of keeping it well stocked and clean every day - for all of the people on here who complain about what time the room gets cleaned? who cares - you are on vacation - I dont understand why that even matters to anyone.
The food was excellent all week, there was something for everyone - we ate at all of the restaurants and beach grill, all were very good - beach grill wasn't slow at all - never more than 5 minutes for freshly made burgers/wraps and fries - I think that is perfectly normal.(not sure what others are actually expecting?)
Yes, the one bar is busy - but they do their best to get to everyone - we found if you stood near the blenders or beer pump, they noticed you sooner.. it was never that long of a wait though...so no big deal.
The lobby and grounds were inpeccable, the service for the most part was really great - although we really didn't request all that much - the coffee in the lobby 24/7 was a nice touch for us early risers.
My only complaint of our entire week there would be of other guests there and not of the resort itself - there is a long term guest that is there for 4 months who thinks he owns the place - has an entire area on the beach reserved all to himself (in one of the only shaded spots on that beach ) it is towelled off day and night with all of his belongs being kept there all night, (some up the tree!) as well as reserved 6 chairs (for 2 people????) -we even saw him changing his clothing out there, which ,as it was directly in front of our room in building 5, wasn't really appreciated. He has a room there and should change and keep his items in his room, as the rest of us do -we are paying guests - and it made that area of the beach look junky with all of his stuff ... I did send a note to management about it while we were there, but I think its unlikely anything will be done about it. There also seemed to be a few other guests that were getting "special" treatment and had umbrellas and certain spots on the beach reserved for the entire week we were there - the fact that the resort allowed this was disappointing to me...I sure hope they improve the place in that aspect.

but other than that - it was money well spent - a wonderful location, resort and holiday - I'd certainly go back but pray that man is no longer living under the tree in front of building 5 - lol

tip: bring some bug spray for your ankles, the sand flies bit - alot....

Room Tip: Building 5 has a wonderful beach view (minus the old man living under the tree lol) - suites with...

Stayed Feb 17-24th.
The resort was full when we stayed. So the usual beach reserving at 6am was in full swing. We actualy left the resort on the second day due to the lack of space in the shade. Packed our picknic baskets full of food and free pops from the mini bar, bought rum and vodka and headed to a mangrove tree by the red catamaran. NO PROBLEM with a private beach and shade.
Next day and everyother day we woke up at 430 and fought with the crowd for a patch of shade.

The only bar is very crowded at times and service can be slow, but if you are close to the bar Noelle comes and takes drink orders from the beach.
As we always travel with our own mugs its not a big issue (oversized).

The food was always excellent and I found the choices very good.
we traveled with a gluten free guest and she had no issue with choices either.

Shout out to Margaret on the breakfast bar excellent job.

Rooms were always clean and lots of towels.
Coffee maker, mini fridge full of water, pop and juice.

Great vacation inspite of the rude guests.

Would probally not return as this type of resort is really not my thing.

Room Tip: get close to the beach

I stayed at this resort between Feb. 17 and Feb. 20, 2013. Overall it was an enjoyable stay. It is a small and beautiful place. The staff is excellent. The beach is great.

My only complaints are: 1.The food was only Ok, not great. The entertainment at the resort was either nonexistent or poor. It would have been nice to have a nightly reggae band playing for a few hours.

I would return to this resort. This place is ideal for those seeking a restful and laid-back atmosphere.

The day before we left we received an email that they were overbooked and we were being moved to the couples resort. We booked in Nov. We didnt get the email until we arrived back home. We arrived at 430, were told nothing. Took 1.5 hours to finally get a room. Check in was 300. They should have told us when we arrived, just made us wait.
Several days we put out the early room clean sign out and our room did not get cleaned till
500 pm.
The grill took forever and orders were wrong. Didnt have items on the menu.
Tipping helped at bar but still extremely slow
Ran out of some alcohol and we were told they would have it tomorrow. But tomorrow never came.
Bathroom had an ant infestation.
Food was ok but again poor dining service. Need more staff.
omlet station does not work well, long lines and ofter got wrong omlet.
Entertainment was ok.
Nice beach but need more shaded areas.
They could use another bar and drink service on the beach.
Maybe self serve beer and soda.
A drink list at the bar would have been nice.
The resort needs some work.
Talked to a group that reserved 14 rooms and only had 1 when they arrived.
Whay a mess, it took a second day for them to get in, they stayed somewhere else the first night.

Stayed Jan 21-30. Great 10 days. Can't say enough about the staff! From the grounds keepers to all the bartenders (Hello Junior) and all the staff. You made us feel truly welcomed. Food was fantastic at all restaurants. The beach is protected from big waves by an island up shore. This is a great spot if you're not a strong swimmer. The nine night package was perfect for us. Hope to return again as long as it stays reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Close the bathroom window at night much quieter.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

We vacationed from Feb 6th to Feb 20th, 2013. On our arrival we received champagne, along with three or four of the friendliest most helpful checkin staff ever . They insisted we sit on sofas in the lobby while completing the necessary forms, as they catered to us.

Our room was overlooking the ocean #5107 with a king size bed, and very short walk to the beach. The rooms are older (but so am I), and clean as a whistle. Our housekeeping lady introduced herself, and said if we ever need anything, just ask. She seemed to love her job, a smile from ear to ear whenever we saw her.

This resort has a state of the art fitness center. By far the best I've used in my many years of travel.

I always get a massage when I vacation. This one was a little more expensive than I normally pay, but also the best massage I've ever had. Natasha was amazing, make sure you ask for her - you won't be disappointed.

The food...where do I start. It was by far the best food ever. Some buffet's get old after a while with the same old/same old food. Not here! Margaret was a fantastic cook, big smile, warm hello, and great food. Michael the waiter took excellent care of our 14 person group. He took extra care to make sure we had a special table, and always a full glass. Robert and Simone were there for us too.

The Caribbean restaurant was good with reasonable choices, and I had one of the best steaks I've ever had.

The Italian was also very good, no long pants or reservations required. However, first come first serve made for a lineup prior to opening. It was really popular. Beef tenderloin melted in your mouth.

The beach was the best on the strip, bar none. It was clean, nicely raked, and the guys worked to make sure it stayed that way.

The beach grill was handy for light snacks/lunch etc. Very good food, have the jerk chicken, beef patties...excellent! The girls work their buns off.

The one and only bar is busy, but also well managed. Wade, Sheryl, Junior, Sanjay, Alee, and Joseph, took very good care of us. It's amazing how respectfull they are towards some disrespectfull customers. Some people can't seem to relax on holidays, but they serve them with a smile and an apology. I don't think I could be that nice.

The entertainment was different from other resorts in terms of size, but good quality. Small bands, incredibly talented resort staff. Novelette works so hard to keep the guests entertained. She's so good at what she does.

We had a small emergency at home while we were in Jamaica, but Tracey at the concierge desk made solving it easy. She happily gave us the resourses we needed to deal with the matter.

Frank the manager was always walking around talking to people, getting comments etc.

Nice small extremely friendly resort. The staff remembered my name, smiled, waved, and talked like they really cared whenever they saw me...yeh mon
