“Excellent meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

We dined at Bongo's our last night, January 29th.
We were able to walk as it was at Sandy Haven which was 2 resorts away.
We did not think that it was expensive ... comparable with other Negril restaurants
The roasted pumpkin soup and the crab & corn chowder were awesome
I had the spicey shrimp curry and my wife the jerk chicken pasta
Both were good ... the pasta was amazing

“Great Food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

The food and drinks were exceptional. The only downside is the price. It is a bit pricy but a must if visiting Negril:)

“Good food, nice restaurant, good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

We ate here on a Thursday during a two-for-one night. As a consequence, the menu was limited, but I didn't have a problem finding something I liked. We had complimentary appetizers and drinks. The food was good, nicely presented, and the waiter was very attentive. I would come here again, which I think is the best compliment to a restaurant!

“What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

Bongo's is located in the newer Sandy Haven Hotel on the beach side of Norman Manley which is close to Coco La Palm. The restaurant is not visible from the beach, it is easier to get to it if you walk down the street and go through the gate at Sandy Haven. We took a tour of the property and the entire place is very lovely. We ate here twice during our 9 day stay in Negril and loved both of our meals. The first time we ate here we stumbled upon 2 for 1 night which is on Thursday evening. They offer 3 set meals to choose from which include appetizer, main course & dessert. Both people have to get the same meal and the price ranges from $28-34 USD which is reasonable. The food was so great that we decided to come back the following Thursday and get the 2 for 1 again. The service is very good and the portions are generous, so you will leave very full. We only have great things to say about the food at Bongo's, everything we had was delicious. The restaurant has inside and outside seating , has a romantic atmosphere and lovely decorations. We visit Negril each year, and I am sure we will return to Bongo's again soon. Thank you Clyde for such a unique experience.

“Surprisingly good and fresh!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

I wasn't expecting such a great, fresh meal when I went to Bongo's. But I was very surprised by the creative, local, fresh menu that was executed very professionally! Not only was the dinner great, but it was also followed up by an awesome dessert selection that was even better!

And the staff is great too - especially the head waiter Orlando!
