“Many restaurants closed in the Summer.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

If staying on the cliffs in the summer many of the recommended restaurants on tripadvisor are closed. Even highly rated ones. Serious Chicken and Hungry Lion to name two. But it is peaceful and secluded and just the ticket if you're wanting to get away from it all without being surrounded by hundreds of tourists. If your over 40 and married you probably need quality time together and the cliffs are the spot. It's romantic as you could hope for, go for it.

“Cliff divers, Nigril, Jamaica”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

It was worth the trip out to see. Just remember one thing, the 3 divers (the day we were there) do not jump until they have a $20.00 in tips in their possession. If you are on a schedule time, you may have to pony up all $20.00 to see them dive. It was the end of the day for us and very few other tourist around so you got to do what you have to do. It's a good hour and half from Montaga Bay and we needed to get back. Pay up and watch the show. It was worth it. They drive so slow in Jamaica.

“Awesome caves to explore & play in crystal clear waters!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We originally headed out on a catamaran tour to Rick's, but it was packed in that cove with three or four other catamarans waiting to get in. So our crew took us back about a mile towards 7 mi beach to another set of caves that were so much better! They let us off to play & explore the area & we were told that once upon a time, a bar had been set up inside one of the caves we were at due to the water's natural shaping of the cave walls inside. So much more fun than we would've had at Rick's, waiting in lines, having to tip, etc...So grateful we got to do this instead!

“Rick's Cafe? Overrated...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

We took a boat down to Rick's Cafe on the cliffs. We swam in from the boat as there is little places for larger boats to dock. We climbed the stairs while being lured into the caves by the locals. (No way.) We jumped from the 30-35' "cliff" and then swam back. We were told by locals we trusted that the food is terrible and overpriced so we steered clear. Don't waste your time unless you really need to tell your friends you jumped.
