“Absolute bliss!!!”

Nirvana on the beach was everything we expected and more! After reading a lot of reviews (thank you fellow trip advisor members!) we decided to book the Sundeck Suite at Nirvana for 5 days (since we split our Jamaica holidays beach / cliffs). We arrived late afternoon (British Airways flight from Gatwick) at Nirvana after a very pleasant, rainy drive with Leroy from Clive's Transport. At the gate we were greeted by Shine, who not only was expecting us but knew our names as well (very nice touch!) took us to the sundeck suite and wished us a pleasant stay. The room was very clean, had a fully working air-conditioning unit, fan, a refrigerator and a neat CD/radio player which we used extensively. The views of the garden and the beach were fantastic from the front balcony!
For breakfast we took a short walk to the Island Twist or next door to White Sands
A big thank you to Errol (who always looked after us while sun bathing on the beach and giving us a lot of advice and tips) and Moses.
I would recommend Nirvana to anyone who is not looking for an all inclusive and would like a simple, relaxing stay at one of the best spots on 7 mile beach. Oh, almost forgot, if you do go, be sure to look out for the patty man between 12pm-1pm strolling down the beach for the best patties ever!!!

I have been going to Jamaica for many years now, always staying at a all inclusive resort, this time we booked a cottage with Nirvana in Negril and said to myself
how will i cope without being fed and drink allday..`?
well, i was blown away with what i experienced..enjoying the REAL life of Jamaica..
I was fed and drank my face away more than before..i was able to cook what i wanted and expereince real Jamaican food with all the booze i wanted ..everything was near by
for shopping..so i never felt i was missing out... The people/staff we met right in our resort touched our lifes and will never be forgotten... and i truly bless the owners for doing an amazing job in keeping the place so REAL and homely like was our own place... after experiencing this ..i will NEVER book all inclusive and will ALWAYS book Nirvana ... Signed M AND M....
I thank Lonnie and Stanley and you both should be proud of showing us what Jamaica
is really like...and im looking forward to going back soon...P.S you may never be able to get me out now!!!! Can you adopt me???

Just got home, and I want to go back. The staff and their contacts are wonderful. They make sure you have nothing to worry about. Give you tourist tips, and keep you safe. We had A/C, but did not use it at night. The small kitchenette was quite adaquate. The bed was comfortable. We had plenty of hot water. The vendors on the beach are no problem, If you are not interest, just tell them no thanks mon, treat them with respect. We had the best time, and met alot of good people. Be sure to try the meat patties, and Coco bread from Norman. Get a couple of fresh cooked lobsters from the lobster guy. Buy some fresh Mangoes. Relax

My husband and I stayed in the owners villa the last week in June. Our stay was fantastic! The villa suited our needs perfectly as my husband is a chef and used the kitchen quite a bit. We also liked the ocean view afforded by the villa. We could have made it without AC but it was nice to turn on at night when trying to sleep. Below are a list of things we particularly enjoyed while in Negril.
Things you have to do....
1. Engage in conversation with the staff...Errol, Shine, Otis, David, Sandra ect.. They are great people that you can learn a lot from. Not only about Jamaica but about life in general.
2. Get a Dirty Banana Drink at White Sands next door. They have 2 for 1 drink specials every day.
3. Get a meet pattie and coco bread from Norman on the beach. He comes everyday except Sunday from 11:30-12pm.
4. Go to the fruit and veg market to the left of the roundabout at the center of town. You can get stuff that we never see in the states. At least try the nasberrys and plums(not the typical plums found in the states) The ladies are very knowledgeable and like to tell you about how each friut can help fuel your body. Cheapest place to get friuts and veggies. You can also buy some fruit on the beach or a truck that comes by Nirvana a couple times a week.
5. Get used to the hustlers. The security is the best at Nirvana so you never feel harassed. The hustlers in Jamaica are the best I have ever witnessed. Seriously, they will have you buying stuff you never intended to buy . We learned that the first time to Jamaica. As this was our second time, we got better at the game. You do not have to "look" or buy anything but we find it fun to look and bargain with them. Just treat them with respect and they will respect your privacy. (Don't ignore them...just say no thanks if you are not in the mood) Also, the security will look after your stuff and kids. We witnessed a hustler approaching 2 young kids(their partents were in their room) to try and sell them something. Just as they went to get out $, Errol called them over to tell them they better ask thier parents before buying anything. They truely have your back.
6. Go to Cosmo's and get Lobster Thermidor and Lobster Curry. SOOO GOOOOD. It is about a 30 minute walk along the beach or a $5-10 cab ride. Make sure you tell the taxis what you are willing to pay to before you get in.
In summary, we got back 4 days ago and are already trying to figure out when we will be able to save enough to come back. Back to Nirvana that is...

Our trip to Nirvana was so spectacular that as soon as we came home we started planning for a return trip. Probably without the kids, just me and the hubby! Your little resort was all that we had hoped for and each one of the employees took exemplary care of us. Our son, Michael, kept Errol and Shine, oh Bobby too, busy on the beach as he had a desire to experience all the Island has to offer. They were a blessing to us in keeping our worries about any misfortune that might befall our son as he explored. NO WORRIES! They made for a fantastic defense.
Sondra was a terrific overseer and I don't think there was even one small thing that we asked for or mentioned that either Sondra or Doris did not see to.
Leon took us under his wing and provided us with the best "tour guide" transportation we could have ever hoped to get. We "excursioned" every other day with the off-day on the beach. It would not have been the same vacation without Leon to keep us all protected and under his wing as he showed us the treasures of his island home.
All in all our 12 day vacation at Nirvana on the Beach, Negril, Jamaica was a phenomenal experience.
Our son was so smitten with Jamaica and the people that on August 1 he is headed to Harmon's to build houses and water holding tanks for the people of the Island.
Blessings to you and we can't wait to afford another trip to your resort.
Peace of Jesus,
Rhonda

We had such an awesome vacation at Nirvana Negril. Its in such a great location on the beach, walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and nightlife spots. The property was so clean and well managed and our room was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It has such a personal touch, you leave feeling more like family than just another guest. We definitely plan to make this a yearly trip.

Nirvana is a great place. The grounds are beautifully kept. The people are nice. The price is right. The cottages are spacious. It is a 30 second walk from your bed to the blue water. You can walk to many restaurants around. I mean, what else do you need. It's great.
