We stayed at Nirvana and were married there in July of 2007. Where to begin.... We could not have been happier with our choice. The wedding was beautiful, everything was planned and executed just right, flowers were gorgeous, photographer was great, even had a very breif carribean rainstorm that cleared out just in time for the ceremony. The resort itself was gorgeous, very beautifully maintained. We stayed in the Veranda Suite upstairs which was just perfect, very clean and just what we were looking for. The beach was of course our favorite part, huge, no matter how many guests are at the resort there was more than enough room to play on the beach, sunbathe, or swim. The most beautiful sand and water I've ever seen.
Everything from each and every member of the staff, who always greated you with a smile, to the immaculate grounds, accommodations and beach, makes this a five star resort in my eyes, and the only place I will stay in Jamaica! If I could I would be back every year, I can't even stand to look at my pictures becasue I want to be there now!

One word, WONDERFUL. My wife and I went for our honeymoon and it was perfect. It was secluded enough when we wanted private time, but a few steps on the beach in either direction and you had many options of entertainment if you want to enjoy the nightlife.

You want to have a Jamaican meal? Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were available at the Rainbow two doors down. You want a "touristy" feel? Margaritaville is a short walk down the beach. Other than the tour of the city that we went on, we never had to leave the beach to do anything.

We stayed in the Sundeck suite, which was great. It was not ritzy, but we weren't wanting that. When you have such a beautiful beach footsteps away from your door, who'd want to stay in their room?! Air conditioning was available, but after the first night we found out that the cool island breeze at night was enough to let us sleep with the windows open.

The staff was amazing. From the first second, Moses took care of us. He had answers for any questions we had. While on the beach, you knew your belongings were safe, since he was on lookout from under the palm trees. You never had to worry about overbearing vendors since they seemed to already know that Moses was taking care of us on the private beach. Make sure you buy a bamboo cup from him! As for the housekeeping, let me know if you ever see them. It seems they'd "time" us. We'd wake up, get dressed, go on the beach for a while and we'd come back to a "brand new" room. We woke up late one day, so we thought they'd skip us that day, but we went to sit in the garden for about half an hour and when we came back up, BAM!, clean again. Leon, the driver, offers reasonable fees for airport pickup/dropoff, souvenir trips and trips to the grocery store. Make sure you ask him about the waterfalls!

Everything, absolutely everything, about Nirvana was wonderful. We were planning our return trip before we even left!

Nirvana was absolutely perfect for us. We had wanted a place where we could have our own little place, a kitchen and some privacy, and yet still be right on the beach, and Nirvana was perfect. The cottages are certainly not fancy - kind of reminded me of cabins, maybe summer camp, so you should know going in that it's not a "luxury" hotel or villa - but they were clean, comfortable, spacious and exactly what we were looking for (escpecially for the price). The grounds are gorgeous and you definitely have excellent beach-front property - but what really makes it at the end of the day is the staff. So friendly and attentive and helpful (and protective! you need not worry about anything). I miss Moses already! We all need someone like that to look after us all the time!

We first noticed the beautifully manicured property of Nirvana, followed by how close the beach was to our doorstep. The staff was kind and respectful and was almost invisible except for when we found fresh flowers in the room or they would book an activity for us. It felt like our own private beach house because of how intimate things were. There was not one single thing to complain about except when it came time to leave, because we were leaving. We have already recommended Nirvana to our friends and will be returning next year. It is the best way to truely enjoy Jamaica.
