“Great Family Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

My family just came back from Beaches Negril and it was a great experience...we have been to many all inclusives and what sets this one apart was the friendliness of the staff. From Andrea in housekeeping to Tyron and Oneill on the beach. Everyone was always asking if we were enjoying ourselves. The consierge staff was great, Lucinne, Ryan, Sharon and all of the others were very helpful . Beautiful spa as well...thanks to Kaydeene and the rest of the spa staff. The rooms were big, the property was clean and the staff was incredibly helpful. We booked another Beaches vacation for next year with Amanda at the Soon Come Back office. The beach in Negril was beautiful also never too crowded!

This was the second year in a row we stayed here for 5 days. We are a family of 4 with two daughters age 14 and 16. What I like best about this spot is the size of the resort. There are bigger, fancier places, but this place is ideal because the kids can go off and do their thing but you don't have to worry about losing track of them. This is not an issue so much for our kids, but we also had younger cousins in the group.

The food is pretty good and the drinks are fine. Although I wouldn't be surprised to learn they water down the booze. My only complaint is that the only beers available are Red Stripe and Red Stripe Light (on tap only). Not my favorite beer.

The only other suggestion is to improve the recreational facilities. For example, the volleyball net was down and nobody fixed it until I notified the front desk. There are no boundary lines for volleyball, and often, no ball! The basketball court consists of a single, bent rim with no net and crappy, over-inflated balls. There is just one ping pong table and no balls were available! There are just two pool tables for the whole resort. If they just put a little more effort into these facilities, it would make a big difference. Same goes for the nightly entertainment in the bar area. The most popular attraction was karoake, but they only offered that on one night.

Overall, the place is clean, the staff exceptionally friendly, and the beach is beautiful and long. I would highly recommend, but be warned that the rates seem to be going much higher. We were quoted a rate for next year that's more than double this year's rate. We won't be back if those prices hold.

Room Tip: stay away from the rooms that are closest to Club Liquid. The bass beat will keep you awake.

Stayed at Beaches Negril with husband and 17yo son, the week of Feb 16 - 23, 2013. Airport service was wonderful and did not have to wait long at all for shuttle to resort. Room was clean and bright with view of the ocean. The staff assigned to work with the teenagers, in my mind this is an impossible job, were terrific. Nicholas and Fasha made sure the kids had a great time even lined the kids up at the departure bus to wave good-bye to the ones leaving. My son, had the best vacation and made many friends. The rest of the staff is incredible and there are too many names to mention, but I really must comment on Rochane. Rochane works in the pool area and could not have been nicer or more helpful. He patiently answered all my questions, found us more towels and on our last day came to say good-bye and inquired about our stay. If you are looking for a vacation to relax, or to be active, this is the place for you. Watersports, pool activities, and beach activities all included. Or just sit by the pool or on the beach and relax. Its all there for you.

Room Tip: Concierge level rooms make all aspects from check-in/out to reservations much easier.

This resort is awsome! We are a famy of 6 (kids aged 13, 11, 7 and 3) This resort is the best for a relaxing family vacations. The staff is the best I have ever come across. Adrienne the manager is first class, Novia our butler was fun, friendly and went out of her way to make our stay the most relaxing holiday ever! Anthony at the bar treated our kids like good friends (even though they were getting him to make them drinks ever hour). Even Kimona at the lazy river was so friendly and helped me keep an eye on my kids. Security on the beach was great as well. We felt very safe and comfortable letting our kids have some freedom to play.
The food and desserts were ok (not great). But the best pizza I have ever had in my life was made by an Italian pizza chef at Dino's, the best! I wish they had like a Cafe and an ice cream parlor (like cafe de Paris and bobby d's in TCI)
The rooms were spacious and very clean. (there is one block of rooms next to the Couples Resort next door that is very loud in the evenings from 9-11pm, I would avoid that area of the resort)
We are returning again next Dec and bringing more people with us! I think we will be back many, many more times, this resort is hard to beat!

We stayed at Beaches Negril for 11 nights (mother, father and soon-to-be four daughter), in February 2013. The vacation was superb, despite a little rain. The property is well maintained, the beach is very nice, the water beautiful and we saw fish up to the shoreline every day! But what really makes the place aglow is the quality of the service provided by the staff. Everyone is always seeking to help, please, guide and assist in any way they can. It is really pampering to the best degree. I cannot mention everyone that deserves it, they are simply too many, but special thanks to Ricardo, the butler (not even OUR butler), that went above and beyond his duty to help us when it was not even his responsibility, a genuinely nice human being; also Stacey-Ann (her drinks are to die for, she really should move from the restaurant to the bar, she simply is gifted), Marvalyn from the Mill, the most gracious host who would always find a way to help and please, Nadine and Simone from the Mill, always nice and helpful, Oneill from the beach bar, Mitsy from the Piazza bar (very nice, great sense of humor, mild mannered and making a mean Ambrosia), Odane and Matthew from the concierge, Amanda from the Soon Come Back desk) and so many more others. No such list is fair without mentioning Daniela, the director of services, that I am not sure how she does it, but she does it all and manages to help create the most wonderful time for everyone.

Special mention to the nannies from the Kids'Camp: very professional and dedicated ladies, nurturing and genuinely kind.

Would I recommend this resort? Surely so. Highly recommended.

Spent a week at ths fine resort with my lovely wife and children January 6-13th. Airport shuttle was no problem and kept you on your toes (They drive like New Yorkers). Staff welcomed you upon arrival with cold Red Strip Beer and a cold towel. Check-in process was no problem and room was located in the 200 Building (Courtney thank you for everything. you are a get-it-done kind of guy). Room was clean and well-appointed. Only problem was; 1st day-and-a-half the Air Conditioner was stuck on 70 degrees and another night there was no water for shower or toilet. Wife had to walk to bathroom near main pool to use facilities. Pools were clean and Mardio (Lifeguard) took care of us daily like family. Opal at the pool bar is a keeper, as were many of the other staff and bartenders. Always full of smiles and ready to get you a drink. Weightroom was always clean and there was never a shortage of cold water inside. Plenty of cardio and machines, along with free-weights to make you think you're in shape, as you pack on the pounds during the day. Grounds were beautiful and beach was spectacular. I retired out of the Coast Guard and have traveled to numerous beaches during that time, and this was as nice of a beach as it gets. Was bothered a few times by local vendors trying to sell you; braclets, lobsters, cigars and other trinkets, jet-ski rides, glass-bottom boat tours and of course the green leafy substance was offered to me almost daily. One pushy guy did not get the hint about offering me the mary-jane and I had to announce that I was the "Red Stripe" (Police Officer). He left quickly and never asked me again. Adrian the General Manager was very approachable and never seemed in a rush while speaking with my family. We were there for a Wedding and it could not have been any nicer. The pictures at sunset are priceless!. Food was very good; Breakfast at the Mill was great every morning...Shrimp omelet was my choice. Pizza was outstanding and never a shortage during the day. Kimonos was by far the best and you will not go hungry. Fish, Chicken and Steak prepared to perfection and the sample sushi platter was tasty as well. Stewfish on the beach was also very good and you can't beat the atmosphere (The lobster kabob and the Jamaian spicy soup was terrific). Tip-Bring bug spray for your feet, ankles and legs or you may regret it. Met some wonderful people and our family made a life-long friend from England (Matt and his lovely family). Loved Beaches Negril so much we already booked our trip for next year. Have to mention the snorkling and water sports at the resort. Took my Wife and two children (7 and 11) and they had a blast on both trips out to see the sealife on the scuba/snorkling boat. Ricardo and "Gilligan" do a great job and seem to really love their jobs. Congrats to Bryson and Heather and thanks for asking us to be part of your life. Now we are back in cold and snowy N.E. Kansas.
