“Always great at Presley's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

This was our third trip to Negril and we had been to Presley's on our two previous trips. We decided this time we would like to go twice, so we went early in the trip and again on our last night. It's always fun to go see him ahead of time and decide what to have. We gave him some general ideas of what we like and he made sugggestions, good ones at that. On our first night we had coconut shrimp, a truly unique dish, NOT the breaded/fried version we were used to. When the meal came there was a huge serving of shrimp - I assumed the mound of shrimp was on top of something else, but it was all shrimp - there must have been a pound of it and it was delicious. On our return we both had snapper, mine done spicy on request. Once again, the portions were huge and everything was perfect. Even the side dishes were a cut above everywhere else not just filler as an afterthought. You will not find food any fresher or better prepared anywhere in Negril. Prices are not low (I think we paid $30 per plate for the shrimp, $25 for the chicken) but you get what you pay for - Fresh, well prepared, large portions, and the unique meal in Presleys' small establishment (even though capacity doubled to 4 tables!) is a treat in itself. It's fun to visit with Presey before and after and we will certainly go back whenever in Negril.

“True chef, gem & special place in negril!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013 via mobile

This is the true gem in negril... Visiting Presley's made the entire trip for us. The night was enjoyed with amazing food, laughter & some high kicks from my man john Wayne. Presley & his crew made us feel right at home... Like we had been friends for a lifetime. Instead of us telling him what we wanted we told him to pick for us.... He knocked it out of the park. Truly amazing Jamaican food... A true authentic! Go see Presley & tell him dj ginger & six-thirty sent you!

“A Wonderful Night Out at Presley's Bar & Grill!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

I recently got back 21/04/13 from a trip to Negril, and during that "family reunionification" holiday we took a long walk from the centre of Negril up to Rick's Cafe. This was quite a walk and once we had hit the half way mark we decided to stop in to a "local spot" to have a beer to aid us in the last mile of our journey. That is when we ventured into Presley's and met JohnWayne "Michael", and the "reasoning" time we had was so relaxing and the atmoshpere so crisp that each of my family members wanted to go back to have a meal experience. In the next couple of days we attended for an intimate meal, that was cooked by Mr. Presley himself and with his personal love in the food and I can tell you the food tasted like it was sent from heaven itself! We spent the evening enjoying our sumptious meal and that was topped by the great time we had sharing our collective experiences with each other as the night drew on. Before we knew it many hours had passed and it was time to leave, but never to say goodbye. I highly recommend you attend this eatery, you will leave your evening full of ubelievable food and great memories of real Jamaica.
Respect Michael and Mr. Presley!

“Authentic and Tasty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

We went to Presley's twice in one week- we loved the entire experience! At least one visit is a must when visiting Negril.
I am sure you know this by now, but you need to visit Presley's during the day to let him know when you want to eat and when you will be there. Loved it!

“What a gem!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013 via mobile

Presley did not disappoint! We had a fantastic seafood dinner here at Presleys our first night in Negril. Don't be thrown off by the hole-in-the-wall facade .. Presley served us some of the best seafood on the island ! Everything is cooked to order - there is no menu - and so you need to call ahead and ask him to create your meal. We had a whole steamed snapper and Wow ... The fish was so fresh and tender. He steamed the fish, then added a bell-pepper based sauce and served it with a generous bowl of rice & peas and callaloo. We also had shrimp - another delicious dish. Sautéed in a coconut milk based sauce, the shrimp were juicy and flavourful, and again, was paired with rice & peas and callaloo. It was too bad that it was not lobster season - I would have loved to have Presley cook me a lobster! Presley comes out after cooking your meal and chats a bit - he seems like such a cool guy - and it just feels like even though its a small place (there are only 4-5 tables) we were eating at his home. What sealed the deal? My husbands favourite team was represented - Presley had a Kansas Jayhawks flag hanging from the ceiling ..
