As I write this I know that I am going to regret letting out the best secret spot on Negril beach. Coming back to our second visit did I realize what I suspected on the first visit, that WB is an oasis in the somewhat crowded area of Negril. With so many things to do just a short walk (or cab) away, you can retreat youself in the properties lush botanical grounds. After sunning on the waters edge you can find an abundence of shade under the many palms and away from the beach sales folks trying to interest you in fresh juices, cigs or hair braides. I would have to suggest though that if the gentleman on the bicycle with the cooler filled ice cream comes by, the Rum raisin ice cream is awsome. Don't be afraid to mingle with the staff, they will bend over backwards to make you feel at home. Have the chef prepare you dinner and enjoy a game of domions at the Wb's private beach tiki bar. There are also many other dinning and drinking options just a short walk away with a must stop at "Tony's bar" at the Gatehouse for a red strip and a game of Connect Four.
If you want to stay a sterile commercial "Sandals" this is not the place for you. If you want to stay in a chill, relaxing, no fuss cool cottage on the beach let James and his staff (Bim, Lilly, Chris, Mrs. G, Joesph and little RJ.) take care of you.
