My boyfriend and I just returned from Coral Seas, and I am not too happy. Let me begin by saying, that my boyfriend booked this place via hotwire.com for $38 a night. So we got what we paid for.

But we were misled. Coral ranks itself as a 3-star, which far from the truth.
Why?
1. Towels were stained.
2. Ants and flies were all too common in the room.
3. The walls were dirty.
4. A security guard was seen once during our 3-night stay.

What did we like?
1. The staff was very nice. They did clean up the bugs and gave us fresh towels.

P.S. Eat at Montana's Cafe (next to the Jungle Nightclub). Tony and his wife, Sascha, are honest folks. They can find you fair taxi drivers and tour guides. If we could, we would stay with them. They make Negril fun and safe. Plus the food rocks!!!! And is under $11 a plate.

This was my second time staying @ Coral Seas, the first time in June 2006, and then again in Aug.2006, it must be something good, for me to want to go and stay at the same place, why I like this Resort is because it is always has a comfy feeling to it, maid service is great, thanks( Melinda) hope I got her name right, I stayed in #109a which had a large kitchen, (4) burner stove and with a oven, grounds are kept in great shape the groundsman is out early in the morning tending to the plants and cleaning the yard which he is very pround of , when you see it you well see the love he puts into it,I had read some earlier reviews how the front desk was not friendly not once did I have a problem always respectful to you and your Problems if you had any, we must remember if you want respect you have to give respect and Thank you goes a long way, also you may even get to see the owner while there , he does come and checks the place to make sure things are running smooth, you are also close to nightlife, jerk-stands for those that do not cook, right across from the beach and if you want to walk to town go for it, walking in Jamaica is and experinceJamaica is Jamica and I love it can not wait until next year to go back and I will be staying at Coral Seas Garden, Just wanted you to know also that my room had screens on the windows very few bugs, hot and cold water, and also airconditoner, so folks it is what it is Jamaica hot , fun, and relaxing and you can get that @ Coral Seas Garden Peace!!!P.S. I got this great room for $56.00 a day loved it.

Stayed at Coral Seas Garden Resort on my second trip to Jamaica. I prefer this to the all inclusive resorts. It was much more laid back and peaceful, for those not there to just party. I am 22 and loved the calm atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean and basic, air conditioning worked very well but was a little noisey at times. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I don't recommend the restaraunt on site, it's a little high in price and nothing spectacular. Wonderful place to stay if you want to explore more of the island and the wonderful people and not be tied to a busy all inclusive resort. Great pool!!

I was a little taken aback when I could not find any info on this resort and the pictures were lacking, but I did find someone on a message travel board who had experience with this hotel. The cheap price REALLY scared me but I tried it anyway. I booked directly with the hotel and was a bit concerned because I arrived VERY late at the hotel. My fiance and I checked in with no problem. The room was basic but clean and the air conditioner was sufficient. There was some sand in the bottom of the shower stall so I don't know if it had been cleaned or not but I always wear shower shoes in public places so I just washed it out with no problem. The bed was kind of uncomfortable after a few days, but it was decent. There are also screens on the windows to keep the insects out which is a triple plus for me because I just HATE bugs!

This place is quiet and just a hop, skip and jump from the beach across the road. I honestly have no complaints. It is cheap, clean, and basic and that is all that we needed this time around. There is a pool and a bar with a pool table in the back, but I never saw anyone back there except the workers.

This hotel will satisfy your basic needs and you can save your money to enjoy Negril!
