“Location location location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Listen!! I stay at Cocolapalm because of its location. Right on the beach. The water is clear and warm. The sand is smooth and soft. The setting is awesome. A great place to see the sunset.

Don't expect too much from the rooms. They are a little dated, but very spacious. That's not a problem for me because the beach is where you can find me most of the time.

The front desk staff is amazing. Overall, the service staff, for the most part, is good.

Food: I really enjoyed breakfast in the mornings. Seaside plate... As for lunch and dinner, we ventured around town. I wish if they really blew us away with the food as they did with the prices. They really need some improvement there. For such a gem of a place, food should be top notch.

Overall, we had a great time and will definitely return, because once again location location location.

After two flights to Montego Bay, My Wife and I arrived June 18th for 10 nts. We were met by the friendly reception staff at Coco, they had our room ready for us ( Junior Suite ) Great start.. Lovely room with patio facing the beach, king bed , double shower, refrigerator, A.C./ Ceiling Fan. Having stayed at Coco before we knew the layout of the hotel. The Gardens are beautiful, two pool's, very large beach area, Great Security both Day and Night, onsite restuarant and bar also beach bar/grill. All the staff are friendly and courteous, room was keep clean by our housemaid. They will organize beach water sports for you also excursions to see the sights of Jamaica, both local and longer trip's on request. In closing I would recommend Coco La Palm to both Families and couple's alike. It has something for all... We ofcourse had a Relaxing and Wonderful time at Coco....

My hubby and I stayed for the last leg of our honeymoon here and it was awesome. The beach is GREAT!! Sandy and long, the water clean and such a clear clear blue and secure; security can be seen patrolling the beach. Our room was great, and we enjoyed the food immensely. We never woke up early enough for breakfast but lunch and dinner were always great. The great thing as well is that this resort is very near to many many other restaurants and shops. Feel free to walk through the gates and explore. There is also a neat water park nearby called Cool Runnings. We never got to go this time but we will definitely be back. Staff is great and memorable and very very considerate. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Did I mention that this place was clean too?? Despite how often your in your room you still want it to feel and look clean, this place hits the mark.

The whole family (100 family and friends) stayed here for my niece's wedding. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly. Beach was excellent. There are many sea grape trees to provide shade, and lots more beach for sun. The swimming area on the beach is large (roped to keep the jet skis out). Food at the hotel was good too.

Room Tip: Rooms towards the front of the property are away from the beach bar and parties, if you want early n...

My boyfriend and I wanted to try a smaller more intimate hotel and this place delivered. The rooms where clean and the bed was more comfortable than I expected. The continental breakfast was complimentary and the selection was good. Ordered a local breakfast one morning and was somewhat disappointed. Right on the beach, which was amazing. Centrally located on the seven mile strip, which made It easy to explore the beach and the town/square. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to laze away on the beach, enjoy water sports and all the local favors that Negril offers. Wi-Fi did not work for the week we were there, so it forced us to just kick back and relax, which we enjoyed.

Travel south on the beach for affordable delicious local food.

This is a marvel of all beach locations. Large beach area and enough room to get away from the beach and sit a cool drink in the shade of the trees. Food is great, especially the grill when you are craving a midday snack. Plenty of beach chairs, towels, and amendities abound. Two pools to keep you cool if you are not an ocean fan, 1 adult and 1 family pool situated smack in the middle of the resort. The rooms are immaculate and the staff is great. I have stayed here on several occasions and one of my best stays was during their Halloween Party, just a great time for families and adults, great food/dinners, and tons of things to do.

Room Tip: All rooms on beachside have excellent views and are litterally 30 secs from the beach.

This location has the perfect beach: plenty of shade, the hotel is close to the water, the property's shoreline is wide (some of the properties have a very narrow "claim." The hotel was perfect - for us. Not a lot of frills, but everything you need. Clean, comfortable, Jamaican coffee in your room. We liked being able to walk to the beach in just a few steps. Usually the room one gets in the big high rise hotels is 1.4 mile to the shore. I'm not a big "all inclusive" person because usually the food is EH and the drinks watered down, and you usually pay way more than if you pay ala cart. At this hotel, you can walk to several great places to eat. I remember Country Country had a really great dinner. Yes the vendors on the beach can be annoying, but after awhile they leave you alone. Just say no thanks or pretend to be asleep. Going back in two months and I hope to report the same!

Room Tip: It looks like only the Superior rooms have two beds
