I love Jamaica and its one of my favourite destinations. Under my first visit in 2006 I went to Negril an we heard from others that the Roots Bamboo was the place to stay for young travelers..but we had arranged to stay somewere else.. I decided to check it out on my secong visit in October 2007 with 3 friends... The cabins and rooms are very cu
te an clean :) and the location is awsome! DONT worry about that...
What made the stay horrible was that suddenly our key got missing,
it was nowhere to be found! The owner refused to give us a spare one or let us pay for a new lock! So one of us had to stay in the cabin at the all times!(3days!) Cause Negril is not the place to keep your door open!!
When we went to explain the situation he started a REALLY shocking discussion!he was screaming at us! And accused us for inviting boys into our cabin. He ment that it was what european woman was doing in Negril..an
d claimed he had seen us talking to LOCALS on the beach?????
He was so cross and rude he made my friend cry!
We had never had anyone in our cabin. And as far as I know
its not illegal to talk to locals or any others n the beach.
He was so rude and unfriendly aswell the security -guard.
When u run a place u cant scream at guests that way....
I just have one thing to say : Learn how to deal with your costumers! We were treated unfair and it made our stay really uncomfortable. The situation could have been solved easily
Many I know have enjoyed Roots Bamboo and I think that others wont ever experience what we did..
The other staff is really sweet and friendly..The food is good..
If that stupid situation didnt happen.I am shure I would love it to:)
