We visited Xtabi on March 18-22. Can't say enough about this cool place on the cliffs !!! Wonderful beautiful. Must give the staff a 100% rating, they made our stay special treating us with respect and friendliness. Especially Novine at the front desk. She took wonderful care of us made us feel at home. Also Serene at the resturaunt she was a delight and gave us wonderful service each and every time. I don't know the groundskeepers name but he was also wonderful , watching out for our needs every day. Like I said I can't say enough. The rooms were modest but very clean. The snorkeling and swimming off the cliffs was magical. The caves were cool and unique. Every part of this cliff side experience was wonderful at Xtabi. Would highly recommend for a relaxing , stress free vacation. Hope to return some day. One Love

Negril cliffs have always been one of my favorite places to visit. Took some friends and family for their first visit and everyone really enjoyed their stay. For 30 years I have stayed in this hotel at least three times, and everytime we are pleased . Great views, good food, and wonderful people.

Room tip: We like the garden rooms, less noise, and peaceful.

George the Manager was great - even for a Liverpool fan!
Lobster thermidor to die for.
Reasonably priced, and we didn't need to book.
Thanks to the taxi driver - O'neill - for suggesting it.
Superb restaurant on a fantastic cliff top position.

Room tip: Only used the restaurant which was great

Little cottage in the garden!
That's #21.
We were there for a week. Our little "house" at Xtabi has a charm of the 1970s style with wooden shutters and wooden walls-- so cute. Loved it! It has a tin roof (the only cottage with a tin roof), it's clean, and there are nice towels and soap provided. There is also no TV.
#21 has a kitchen. Be aware that the kitchen has NO microwave, no toaster, no coffee maker, and the fridge is a beer fridge which can't keep the food fresh long. So, if you plan to cook a good meal you would need some exceptional planning skills and some kind of magical fingers. Personally, I made toast on a fry pan. It's like an eco cottage! We loved that we were left alone and felt like we had the garden almost to ourselves.

Good Wi-Fi.

This cottage is one of the two cottages that come with kitchen on the garden side - #24 has individual coffee maker though but no nice view from the room.

Xtabi is a good place to stay, good lay out, and good location. Beautiful flowers are all over the place. Friendly staff. Reading the other reviews there's not a lot I can add. Watching the sunsets on the cliff is so spectacular. The cave under the restaurant is beyond beautiful. We snorkeled a few times a day and enjoyed it; some afternoons, the waves were a little rough.

I wish cottage #21 could have a microwave. And $3/day for using a safe is a dumb charge!!!

It's not a 5* resort. It was a really wonderful experience. I would stay at Xatabi again.

Room tip: This cottage is one of the two cottages that come with kitchen on the garden side - #24: big w/2 bedrooms, has individual coffee maker but no nice view from the room.

We traveled to Negril via our most gracious driver Astley with a few notable stops along the way. Having smoked fish with his friends at a hill top bar for the locals and then a more public establishment further down the road. These wonderful segways along the way brought us to our destination of Xtabi. It is a most peaceful resort if one wants to label it a resort. We found it to be a most comfortable, gracious atmosphere with friendly staff, beautiful grounds and a warm, welcoming attitude. The property is gorgeous, well groomed and colorful. On the west side of the property is the restaurant and bar overlooking the Caribbean for the most memorable sunsets you could ever hope to see. The room was clean and comfortable, the ac worked very well and the showers were wonderful and hot. Everything is spotlessly clean and well groomed and the staff is very accommodating, friendly and courteous. Very genuine people in a stunningly gorgeous retreat.

Room tip: Some of the second floor rooms have a view of the ocean. Staying on the east side in the cottage looking rooms is much quieter.
