Little cottage in the garden!
That's #21.
We were there for a week. Our little "house" at Xtabi has a charm of the 1970s style with wooden shutters and wooden walls-- so cute. Loved it! It has a tin roof (the only cottage with a tin roof), it's clean, and there are nice towels and soap provided. There is also no TV.
#21 has a kitchen. Be aware that the kitchen has NO microwave, no toaster, no coffee maker, and the fridge is a beer fridge which can't keep the food fresh long. So, if you plan to cook a good meal you would need some exceptional planning skills and some kind of magical fingers. Personally, I made toast on a fry pan. It's like an eco cottage! We loved that we were left alone and felt like we had the garden almost to ourselves.
Good Wi-Fi.
This cottage is one of the two cottages that come with kitchen on the garden side - #24 has individual coffee maker though but no nice view from the room.
Xtabi is a good place to stay, good lay out, and good location. Beautiful flowers are all over the place. Friendly staff. Reading the other reviews there's not a lot I can add. Watching the sunsets on the cliff is so spectacular. The cave under the restaurant is beyond beautiful. We snorkeled a few times a day and enjoyed it; some afternoons, the waves were a little rough.
I wish cottage #21 could have a microwave. And $3/day for using a safe is a dumb charge!!!
It's not a 5* resort. It was a really wonderful experience. I would stay at Xatabi again.
