This is a wonderful place to unwind and catch up with yourself. The beach is super with excellent snorkeling close to Ruthland Point. The staff was friendly and quick to do what they could. During the off season it is easy to pick a spot on the beach and just relax all day. Sometimes it seemed like we had the place to ourselves. Despite the low occupancy the food was very good, buffet breakfasts with omelets, several lunch options, and a host of dinner options. We never went hungry and the drinks were generous too. This is a great place to just kick back and recharge your solar batteries!

For me and my wife this was just what we looking for. If you are looking for someplace to relax and be taken care of this could be your kind of place. If you are looking for exciting nightlife or high energy crowds you should more than likley look elsewhere.

Arrival in Montego Bay went without a hitch. We had no problems finding the Superclubs longe and within 15 minutes after clearing coustoms we on the bus to Breezes. This was are 3rd. trip to Jamaica but our first in Negril. When the bus dropped off the passengers at Hedo and we were the only ones left on the bus going to Breezes we thought that maybe we made a mistake. But we were soon relieved when we got to the hotel. We were meet with cool towels and after a short wait were escorted to our room.

I can't stop raving about our room. We were upgraded to a ocenview room after booking gardenview and the only suprise was that we overlooked the c/o beach. We didn't really have any real problem with this and after talking to people who did, the hotel gladly changed thier rooms. This room had the 8 head shower and as I told my wife this was worth the price of addmission. Just make sure to put a towel on the floor below the door cause water will run out. The bed was comfortable and once we figured out how to work the A/C remote all was good. The only things that I found they could inprove on was the lack of towels, 2 bath towels for 2 adults a day is not enough. They will supply you more if you ask, I just wish that I didn't have to. Also i would have been great if the had a listing of the T.V. channels so you didn't have to surf all the channels looking for something to watch.

The food was good, not great at the buffets. But the French resturant was great. The Japanise was good and the Chef was entertaining. The beach party had alot of variety and everthing was tasty but nothing really outstanding. But the best part was when we tried the lambchops at the c/o grill. They really were the best. Anyone who comes here needs to try them, even if you don't want to look at naked people. They are that good.

The beaches are wonderfull. The main beach big and fun with little in the way of seaweed or rocks. The c/o beach was nice even if a little more rocky and when the wind was blowing there was a lot of seaweed. The staff did a wonderfull job of cleaning it up.

If your idea of a relaxing vacation is sitting on a beautiful beach with plenty of drinks and a calm atmosphere, decent food and a clean and comfortable room, this could be the place you are looking for. We are already planning on returning next year.

We were there last week and we can say was exactly what we needed. The place was absolutly gorgeus, the employees very nice and helpful and the food and beverages fantastic. I work in the hotel industry and my stantard is pretty high, and this hotel impress me. I definetely recomend the new Brezees (ex Grand Lido) for someone who's looking for a great beach were you can really rest.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Breezes Grand Negril ( aka Lido), and while it does show a little bit of age, we were impressed at nearly every turn.

FOOD
The food here was absolutely fantastic. we ate at each of the restaurants, with the French restaurant, Piacere, offering the best food, and The Japanese place offering the most entertaining experience. Breakfast and lunch were great, the buffet offered a variety of food, with different offerings daily. Jerk pork at the Jamaican cafe was very nice.

BEACH
The beach was delightful, clean, powdery sand, and ample space. crystal clear water, and a fantastic beach bar with snacks.

SERVICE
This would be the only knock I have against the place, the service was hit or miss. we had some great bartenders and some lousy ones, Social Staff, esp. Nardia and Oshane, were great. We had a great tour of the grounds from a botanical perspective from Dushane.

ROOM
Room was great, cleaned daily, never a shortage of towels or other room amenities.

We're looking forward to going back. We're not experienced travelers by any stretch, but were very pleased with our experience.
