Checked here and elsewhere before we went. Wife and I went for the first time and had a blast! Shows where very entertaining , food plentiful at all times, drinks whenever you want. Choose a side our try both, what ever it was fun to be had for all. Snorkel, cruise on catamaran, poolside fun, etc. ALL FUN. Rooms are just fine also, better than many US hotels. Water was hot, room clean, I have seen some of the bad reviews below and wonder what they were expecting or how fussy they must have been. Most of the people we met are repeat quests and the resort was sold out. How do you sell out if your as bad as some people describe? I can't believe they were at the same resort as us(some the same time) and had a bad time? You have to go for your self, you'll know if it's for you by day two by day five you won't want to leave if it's your new home away from home. Hale to all the staff that made our time there a pleasant one. If you can't enjoy yourself at Hedo then you need to speak with a therapist 'cause you got issues mon!

To sum it up: If you want five star pampering and fancy meals quiet,and privacy go somewhere else.
If you want sand in you toes, cool drinks, wet t-shirt contests, human sundae contest, romantic sunsets, risque dinner shows that never quit surprising you, and day after day of totally uninhibited fun and partying...yeah mon!!

Our 4 th visit has just ended. I read some of the reviews here on TripAdvisor and on Hedo web site before we left and admit I had some reservations about going. Once at Hedo however, I am not sorry to say, I just did not have a bad experience. We have known for years that the resort is aging and we are all hopeful that the change in ownership will bring the much needed upgrades. Regardless, it is, for the most part, the same people who have been serving us our meals, our drinks, and our entertainment for years. This is why we keep coming back! I have heard time and again, and seen for myself the little "pods" of couples sitting alone at Sandals or other resorts. At Hedo, you sit alone by choice only. The guests and staff welcome you with open arms and broad smiles. My husband and I are NOT swingers but we are open minded and open hearted. We enjoy people and always have a good time. If you are a Hedo virgin, it's OK to be nervous. Hedo is a unique experience. But Hedo is a "safe" place to explore your spirit as well as your sexuallity. If you see something happening at the hot tub and are curious, don't be afraid to watch. If the participants minded, they would be in their room. This is how we learn what we like. Well, this and then trying it ourselves.... The rule is "don't touch unless invited". It is striclty enforced and is what makes it a perfect place to learn. So don"t be afraid to shed you're inhibitions when you shed your clothes, both sexually and spirtually. We are nudists... we are what we are, bumps, blemishes and all. We except ourselves and we except you as just... YOU!

what to say... my wife and I just returned February 14th, 2013. what a fun trip!
we are going back next year, for sure...

this was our first time and we went with an open mind and a goal to have a good time. Like sky diving, if you have never jump there is a part of the experience you cannot know how it feel until you actually step up the ledge... similar here, you can read all you want about any experiences, but you will only know if this is for you once you have been there...

we had very little expectation other than have fun and relax... well this was exactly it for us... we laugh until our face hurt, we came home so relax life looks way better today and we were deeply in love when we left for Jamaica and returned way closer. We are not swingers, nor have a desire to become... no one made us feel like we did not belong, no one force anything on us... the guests were nothing but respectful (not sure if being naked makes people more respectful) yes, we are a fit couple, so we did turn a few heads and we did get a few very appealing offers, but at the end it become a trip about my wife and I and we stuck to this...

I am chef, the food was not outstanding (this is Jamaica) but it was very good... we found good food everyday... on a buffet with 12 hot dishes, I would like to think that everyone can find a meal. this is not the standards of food that you may get at a Hyatt or Hilton in Vegas... this is Jamaica. my two cents, stick to fish dishes(extremely fresh), local flavors dishes which is what they do best... and when you return home you can go back to eating what you call normal food...

rooms were as expected, need upgrade to compete with Vegas obviously, but we spend about 6 to 7 hours a day in our room SLEEPING wink wink nudge nudge... I really don't care what color are the walls... I want a good bed, hot water and towels nothing else. never had any issues with anything... one time the power went off and threw the clock on a fritz, but who cares I am on holidays. if you go to Jamaica to appreciate a hotel room, you should re-evaluate whether this is a trip to do...

fun staff! extremely tolerable staff considering! staff that want you to make a fool of yourselves which is very liberating in itself. Think back the last time you had so much fun with your spouse, I bet you one of you made a fool of yourself:) many people chose to be on the beach all day reading a book and that's OK if this is what you want, it is your trip...

You are on holiday, so relax and have fun... join in, try things for the first time. My wife join in most games and had a blast...
we did a free sexual workshop with Brad and Kim (WOW) if you have a chance to experience anything they offer, do it, you will not regret it...47 years old and I learn so much I discover places I never knew existed, WOW...
Open minded is key at that resort, yes you will see naked people, yes you will see some sexual act during your stay but so will you if you stay home and watch TV... experience this at least once... the money you spend going there is all about the Theme parties, the games, meeting people at pool/bar, connecting with your spouse. Only one regret, next time we will do more water sport!

We loved it! First, the entertainment staff: Winston, 50, Hennessy, Adrian and all the entertainment staff were amazing. They are beautiful people in every way. Winston has a voice the whole world should hear, and a kind personality the whole world should learn from. We say them rehearsing one night at 2am after having seen them out and about with guests from about 9 am that morning. They must work 18 hours a day every day. They are great.

The food was very good. I have no idea what some of these posts are talking about. There buffet staples, but there was variety and options to choose from, in general I say the food was very good. The servers and chefs worked their butts off, they were friendly and helpful, although a bit overwhelmed during the busiest times. I have no complaint about the food, but then again, I was not coming just to eat, or to work on my food critic credentials. As for bar service, the drinks are ... too available. Some bar tenders make better mixed drinks than others, but I have zero complaints with the drinks, except for my own lack of self-control.

As for the facility, Hedo 2 is aging, but it is also clean. The grounds are beautiful. The grounds crews work very hard to keep it that way. There are flowering trees, shrubs, etc. A recent post claimed just the opposite, which is ridiculous and blatantly untrue.

The destination of Hedo 2 is a living breathing thing or creature. The facility and staff and guests all come together to make it a wonderful life changing experience. It was our first trip to any au natural facility anywhere. When we arrived we noticed a few blemishes here and there in the paint and plaster. In this respect, the facility is like the au natural guests. When you first experience it you see good and bad. You see beautiful bodies, fit and trim, and you see not so perfect bodies. Your everyday mind instantly begins to take pot shots at the not-so-perfect folks. HOWEVER, you quickly realize that all you are really seeing is one beautiful confident human being after another. You see folks that are confident and free while completely in the nude that might not be nearly as comfortable away from Hedo 2, even when they are fully dressed. That is what the place does to people, at least to people that will let it work its magic. We walked the beach past Sandals and other nice facilities and could not wait to pass back through the beach gate at Hedo II, passed the Sandals sign that says "You are leaving Sandals property; enter at your own risk." It is a risk worth taking.

As for the Ganja sales: the waterline is open. People are free to walk that water line and sell everything from hats, and bandanas, to ... other stuff. That is the same at Hedo, Sandals, and everywhere else along the beach and is not unique to Hedo in any way. The important thing is that security is always present watching for it. They shoo away the risky sales-people as appropriate, still respecting the freedom of those individuals to walk the beach in their own country.

As for public sex: will you see it? Yes, if you are looking for it, but in that case who is really the gawker? Anything seen at Hedo is seen in the open confines of Hedo, which is not the same as in public.

My wife and I are Christians in love. We are not swingers, we are not Ganja smokers, but we loved Hedo 2, and were not bothered, pressured, or harassed by any group at Hedo. It was a cherished experience for us that will absolutely make our marriage stronger (although it is NOT a place to save a shaky marriage).

We cannot wait to return.
